Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering is one of the few international journals all over the world that provides engineers, scientific researchers, construction and design specialists with the latest achievements in soil and rock mechanics theory, experimental investigations, geotechnical and foundation engineering problems and innovative solutions, design and construction practice in regions with regular and extreme soil conditions. Soil Mechanics and Foundation Engineering is a translation of the peer reviewed Russian journal Osnovaniya, Fundamenty i Mechanica Gruntov, established in Russia more than 50 years ago and presenting the articles of leading specialists not only from Russia but also from Asian, European and other countries.

Solar Energy, the official journal of the International Solar Energy Society®, is devoted exclusively to the science and technology of solar energy applications.The Society was founded in 1954 and is now incorporated as a non-profit educational and scientific institution. With participation encompassing 100 countries, ISES® serves as a centre for information on research and development in solar energy utilisation. Through its publications and its sponsorship of technical conferences, the Society provides a world forum for the active consideration of solar energy.Solar Energy welcomes manuscripts presenting information not previously published in journals on any aspect of solar energy research, development, application, measurement or policy. The term "solar energy" in this context includes the indirect uses such as wind energy and biomass. Solar Energy Materials & Solar Cells is intended as a vehicle for the dissemination of research results on materials science and technology related to photovoltaic, photothermal and photoelectrochemicalsolar energy conversion. Materials science is taken in the broadest possible sense and encompasses physics, chemistry, optics, materials fabrication and analysis for all types of materials.Of particular interest are:Solar Cells, covering single crystal, polycrystalline and amorphous materials utilising homojunctions and heterojunctions, Schottky barriers, liquid junctions and their applications. South African Journal of Chemical Engineering, SAJCE, aims to be the principal open access journal for publication of high quality, original papers in all areas of chemical engineering. The journal is fully international with contributions encouraged from both within and outside South Africa. Strategic Planning for Energy and the Environment is a quarterly publication of the Association of Energy Engineers, Atlanta, GA. The journal invites original manuscripts involving strategic energy management issues such as management or energy policy.

Sustainability (ISSN 2071-1050) is an international and cross-disciplinary scholarly, open access journal of environmental, cultural, economic and social sustainability of human beings, which provides an advanced forum for studies related to sustainability and sustainable development. It publishes reviews, regular research papers, communications and short notes, and there is no restriction on the length of the papers. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical research relating to natural sciences, social sciences and humanities in as much detail as possible in order to promote scientific predictions and impact assessments of global change and development. SAMPJ is a multi-disciplinary journal created to contribute to the achievement of sustainable development

Sustainable Cities and Society (SCS) publishes a wide range of original high quality papers covering fundamental and applied research, critical reviews and case studies. It focuses on research and multi-disciplinary work aiming to reduce the environmental and societal impact of future cities and covers topics including design, modelling, analytical tools, testing/experimental work, optimization, environmental assessment, new codes, regulations, policy, economics, monitoring, post occupancy evaluation and legislation related to sustainable cities. In addition to fundamental and applied papers, review articles on important developments will be included. This journal is a wide interdisciplinary publication which seeks to further debate and discuss the important concept of sustainable development. The scope of the journal therefore allows for contributions which have a local, national or global focus from a philosophical to a practical perspective.
