The Journal of Molecular Graphics and Modelling is devoted to the publication of papers on the uses of computers in theoretical investigations of molecular structure, function, interaction, and design. The scope of the journal includes all aspects of molecular modeling and computational chemistry, including, for instance, the study of molecular shape and properties, molecular simulations, protein and polymer engineering, drug design, materials design, structure-activity and structure-property relationships, database mining, and compound library design.As a primary research journal, JMGM seeks to bring new knowledge to the attention of our readers. As such, submissions to the journal need to not only report results, but must draw conclusions and explore implications of the work presented. Authors are strongly encouraged to bear this in mind when preparing manuscripts. Routine applications of standard modelling approaches, providing only very limited new scientific insight, will not meet our criteria for publication. Reproducibility of reported calculations is an important issue. Wherever possible, we urge authors to enhance their papers with Supplementary Data, for example, in QSAR studies machine-readable versions of molecular datasets or in the development of new force-field parameters versions of the topology and force field parameter files.JMGM is published in association with two of the largest and most active professional societies in the field: the Molecular Graphics and Modelling Society (MGMS) and the Computers in Chemistry (COMP) Division of the American Chemical Society. Several thousand computational chemists worldwide belong to these two societies and any research topic that may of interest to the membership is within the wide scope of the journal. The Journal of New Music Research (JNMR), founded in 1972 under the title Interface, publishes material which increases our understanding of music and musical processes by systematic, scientific and technological means. The Journal of Open Research Software (JORS) features peer reviewed Software Metapapers describing research software with high reuse potential. We are working with a number of specialist and institutional repositories to ensure that the associated software is professionally archived, preserved, and is openly available. Equally importantly, the software and the papers will be citable, and reuse will be tracked.

JORS also publishes full-length research papers that cover different aspects of creating, maintaining and evaluating open source research software. The scope of the Journal includes advances in the state-of-the-art of optical networking science, technology, and engineering. Both theoretical contributions (including new techniques, concepts, analyses, and economic studies) and practical contributions (including optical networking experiments, prototypes, and new applications) are encouraged. Subareas of interest include the architecture and design of optical networks, optical network survivability and security, software-defined optical networking, elastic optical networks, data and control plane advances, network management related innovation, and optical access networks.  Enabling technologies and their applications are suitable topics only if the results are shown to directly impact optical networking beyond simple point-to-point networks.

The Journal of Organizational Computing and Electronic Commerce publishes original research articles concerned with the impacts of computer and communication technology on organizational design, operations, and performance. It serves as a forum for stimulating and disseminating research as to the implications of these technologies for organizational structure and dynamics, the technological advances needed to keep pace with organizational changes, and the emerging technological possibilities for improving organizational performance. The journal's focus is not on computing as it relates to individuals. Theoretical, experimental, and survey research are all appropriate to the Journal of Organizational Computing and Electronic Commerce. The journal's major editorial areas are enterprise systems, computer-supported cooperative work, groupware, computer-aided coordination, supply chain technologies, interorganizational systems, collaborative commerce, e-commerce, economics of organizational computing, technologies for organizational learning, and behavioral aspects of organizational computing. Since 1977, the Journal of Pragmatics has addressed a number of questions that are essential to our understanding of how language works in communicative and social interaction, and continues to welcome innovative pragmatic scholarship from all perspectives. Through engagement with a wide scope of research in pragmatics, JoP provides a forum for studies that approach relevant issues in general linguistics, sociolinguistics, discourse analysis, conversation analysis, cognitive linguistics, corpus linguistics, and other areas of linguistic research with a distinctly pragmatic agenda.The Journal of Pragmatics also encourages work that explores the relationship between linguistic pragmatics and neighboring disciplines such as communication science (including the study of nonverbal communication), developmental and experimental psychology, the philosophy of language, and speech-language pathology (including the study of all developmental and acquired communication disorders).
