Cytotechnology incorporating Methods in Cell Science is an international journal covering up-to-date developments, methods and techniques in cell culture research involving in vitro systems, as well as the applications of that research in human and veterinary medicine, toxicology, animal and plant cell biotechnology. The aim is to centralize information on both the infrastructure of cell technology and the applied use of cell cultures and thus generate a better understanding of the many facets and disciplines needed to develop successful cell culture processes. Topics include the derivation, genetic modification and characterization of cell lines, cell culture techniques, cell culture systems, processes, reactors, scale-up, and industrial production, and the application of cells in a range of investigations, including application in gene therapy and tissue engineering. Dose-Response is a quarterly peer-reviewed electronic journal dedicated to the publication of original findings on the occurrence of dose-response relationships across a broad range of biological disciplines including physiology, biochemistry, molecular biology, toxicology, radiation biology, pharmacology, medicine, neuroscience, immunology, developmental biology, ecology, experimental psychology, plant biology, and environmental and related sciences. In addition to descriptive experimental findings of dose-responses, particular interest will focus on experimental evidence providing mechanistic understanding of nonlinear dose-response relationships. The journal also welcomes the submission of biologically motivated statistical modeling of dose-response relationships. While the emphasis of the journal is on the publication of experimental findings, population-based epidemiological studies relating to nonlinearity are encouraged. Dose-Response encourages the submission of mini-reviews on topics at the forefront of research interest, and the journal is particularly interested in receiving manuscripts that apply the concept of nonlinearity to current developments in drug and chemical testing procedures as well as in environmental, occupational and medical risk assessment.

Energy Sources, Part B: Economics, Planning and Policy is a peer-reviewed, international, interdisciplinary journal of science and technology that serves as a forum for the reporting and investigation of economic and political trends and issues relating to the use of fossil fuels and alternate fuel sources. Energy Sources, Part B will carry articles related to the continuing increases in worldwide energy costs and diminishing accessibility of fossil energy resources, and the economic impact of energy use on the environment. In addition to petroleum-related articles (that also includes articles related to heavy oil), the economic and political aspects of the development and use of coal, geothermal energy, natural gas, nuclear energy, ocean thermal gradients, oil shale, organic waste, solar energy, tar, sand, and wind will be covered. Full-length articles and invited review papers reporting on the economic and developmental state of the art in extraction and conversion of energy sources, as well as on their impact on the environment are welcome. Energy Sources, Part B will also publish selected proceedings from a conference or a collection of papers dealing with a single topic.
