Child and Adolescent Social Work Journal features original articles that focus on clinical social work practice with children, adolescents, and their families. The journal addresses current issues in the field of social work drawn from theory, direct practice, research, and social policy, as well as focuses on problems affecting specific populations in special settings.

Contemporary Family Therapy: An International Journal (COFT) is a quarterly, peer-reviewed publication that presents the latest developments in practice, theory, research, and training in family and couple therapy.   Embracing international and multidisciplinary perspectives, COFT publishes applied and basic research with implications for theory, treatment, and policy. The overall goal is to understand couple and family functioning within their broader social contexts and throughout a multiplicity of forms.  The journal’s content is relevant to family practitioners, educators, marriage and family therapists, family psychologists, clinical social workers, researchers, and social policy specialists.

Critical Military Studies

Aims & Scope

Critical Military Studies provides a rigorous, innovative platform for interdisciplinary debate on the operation of military power. It encourages the interrogation and destabilization of often taken-for-granted categories related to the military, militarism and militarization. It especially welcomes original thinking on contradictions and tensions central to the ways in which military institutions and military power work, how such tensions are reproduced within different societies and geopolitical arenas, and within and beyond academic discourse. Contributions on experiences of militarization among groups and individuals, and in hitherto underexplored, perhaps even seemingly ‘non-military’ settings are also encouraged. All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editor, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to double-blind peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. The Journal also includes a non-peer reviewed section, Encounters, showcasing multidisciplinary forms of critique such as film and photography, and engaging with policy debates and activism.

Dædalus was founded in 1955 as the Journal of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and established as a quarterly in 1958. It continues the volume and numbering system of the Academy's Proceedings, which ceased publication under that title with Volume 85. Dædalus draws on the enormous intellectual capacity of the American Academy, whose Fellows are among the nation's most prominent thinkers in the arts, sciences, and the humanities, as well as the full range of professions and public life. Ethical and Data-Integrity Problems in the Second Lancet Survey of Mortality in Iraq Defence and Peace Economics embraces all aspects of the economics of defence, disarmament, conversion and peace. Examples include the study of alliances and burden-sharing; military spending in developed and developing nations; arms races; terrorism; country surveys; the impact of disarmament on employment and unemployment; the prospects for conversion and the role of public policy in assisting the transition; the costs and benefits of arms control regimes; the arms trade; economic sanctions; the role of the United Nations. Further topics can be grouped around efficiency issues including budgeting, the military production function, procurement policies, defence industries, military manpower, internal markets in the armed forces and public choice issues. Contributions can be theoretical or policy-oriented; and they might be based on case studies or projects, countries or industries. Whilst the emphasis will be on economics articles, good quality contributions from other relevant and related disciplines will be considered, as too will articles from industrialists, practitioners and policy-makers.
