Global Environmental Change is a peer-reviewed international journal publishing high quality, theoretically and empirically rigorous articles, which advance knowledge about the human and policy dimensions of global environmental change. The journal interprets global environmental change to mean the outcome of processes that are manifest in localities, but with consequences at multiple spatial, temporal and socio-political scales. Global Environmental Politics examines the relationship between global political forces and environmental change, with particular attention given to the implications of local-global interactions for environmental management as well as the implications of environmental change for world politics. Contributions to the journal come from across the disciplines including political science, international relations, sociology, history, human geography, public policy, science and technology studies, environmental ethics, law, economics, and environmental science.

Global Social Policy is a fully peer-reviewed journal that advances the understanding of the transnational dimensions of social policy, social development, and social governance. The Journal publishes scholarly, policy-oriented articles that focus on aspects of social policy and social governance broadly defined in both contemporary and historical contexts.

Grass and Forage Science has subscribers in nearly 70 countries. It is a major English language journal that publishes the results of research and development in all aspects of grass and forage production, management and utilization; reviews of the state of knowledge on relevant topics; and book reviews. Authors are also invited to submit papers on non-agricultural aspects of grassland management such as recreational and amenity use and the environmental implications of all grassland systems. The Journal considers papers from all climatic zones.

Green Chemistry provides a unique forum for the publication of innovative research on the development of alternative green and sustainable technologies. Based on the, but not limited to, the twelve principles of green chemistry defined by Anastas and Warner (Green Chemistry: Theory and Practice, P T Anastas and J C Warner, Oxford University Press, Oxford, 1998). Green chemistry is, by definition, a continuously-evolving frontier. Therefore, the inclusion of a particular material or technology does not, of itself, guarantee that a paper is suitable for the journal. To be suitable, the novel advance should have the potential for reduced environmental impact relative to the state of the art. Green Chemistry does not normally deal with research associated with 'end-of-pipe' or remediation issues.

Housing Policy Debate provides a venue for original research on U.S. housing policy. Subjects include affordable housing policy, fair housing policy, land use regulations influencing housing affordability, metropolitan development trends, and linkages among housing policy and energy, environmental, and transportation policy. Housing Policy Debate is published quarterly. Most issues feature a Forum section and an Articles section. The Forum, which highlights a current debate, features a central article and responding comments that represent a range of perspectives. All articles in the Forum and Articles sections undergo a double-blind peer review process. On a recurring basis, Housing Policy Debate also features an Outlook section where the editors, occasionally with expert guest writers, comment on emerging areas of housing and metropolitan research or current events.

Human Dimensions of Wildlife, which publishes six times annually, is devoted to the study of social considerations in fisheries and wildlife management. The journal provides an open forum for exchange of human dimensions information. IJARGE proposes and fosters discussion on the evolution and governance of agricultural resources, with emphasis on the implications that policy choices have on both the welfare of humans and the ecology of the planet. This perspective acknowledges the complexity of the agricultural sector as an interface between ecological and socio-economic processes operating in parallel over different space-time scales, as well as the reflexive characteristic of human systems.

Since the scope is large, contributions should be of the highest quality. Some will convey important recommendations for environmental management and governance. Contributions that expand existing methodology in image analysis, spatial statistics and logic are welcome. We encourage 'Discussion' articles that stimulate dialogue between earth observation studies and managers in a statistically sound way and 'Review' articles that provide an overview of scientific developments in a particular scientific domain in recent years.

Papers addressing these topics in the context of the social fabric and economic constraints of developing countries are particularly welcome.

The journal is the successor of the former ITC Journal, and has been published by Elsevier since 2002.

The International Journal of Biodiversity Science, Ecosystem Services & Management (IJBESM) aims to improve our understanding of the role of biodiversity in providing ecosystem services and the associated management systems needed to maintain biodiversity and use ecosystem services in a sustainable mannerIJBESM focuses on the interaction between biodiversity at all levels (ecosystems, species, genes) and papers published in the Journal should address at least one of the following themes:(a) the link between biodiversity and ecosystem services; i.e. what is the role of biodiversity in providing ecosystem services ? (b) the link between ecosystem services and management; i.e. how can ecosystem services be (sustainably) managed and what are the trade-offs in service provision, and values, between different management states ?(c) the link between biodiversity and management; i.e. what is the influence of management alternatives on biodiversity conservation ?Articles may address these topics from different perspectives, including basic research, integrated assessment approaches (participatory or model-oriented) or policy-oriented. They may be inter-disciplinary or draw from more specialized fields such as biology, (landscape) ecology, genetics, land use and conservation science, and socio-cultural or economic studies. The International Journal of Disaster Risk Science is an interdisciplinary English language journal that publishes research papers addressing theoretical and methodological issues in disaster risk science, emergency response technology, and risk management: disaster risk governance policies and regulations: and case studies and comparative research internationally on responses to major disasters. Its primary aim is to create an exchange platform for researchers, practitioners, and policy makers in the field of disaster and risk to communicate, learn, and progress in order to improve the international, national and regional capacities for disaster risk analysis, management, and governance. The journal promotes International Human Dimensions Program on Global Environmental Change--Integrated Risk Governance Project or IHDP-IRG research under the strategic framework of global change research, including revealing the dynamic processes of disaster risk, especially catastrophic disaster risk formation, based on an adequate understanding of global, regional, and local social-ecological systems change: establishing a 'transition in and out' risk governance model targeting catastrophic disasters exceeding the existing coping capacities through case studies and comparative analyses: refining the various models and modeling tools for catastrophic disaster risk governance: and creating and improving an integrated disaster risk science that can meet the challenges for sustainable development. The journal covers a wide range of disaster risks, including natural disaster risk: environmental and ecological disaster risks related to the conditions of the natural environment: technological risk and the risk of infectious diseases: and new risk factors related to global change, energy and water security, food security, international trade, and so on.
