Innovative Food Science and Emerging Technologies (IFSET) aims to provide the highest quality original contributions on new developments in food science and emerging technologies. The work described should be innovative either in the approach or in the methods used. The significance of the results either for the science community or for the food industry must also be specified. Papers submitted for publication must be novel and of high scientific quality and impact. Only papers which advance current scientific knowledge, with industrial relevance, which advance current understanding will be considered for review and publication. IFSET does not publish preliminary or confirmatory results. The journal publishes selected research and review articles dealing with engineering, scale-up, safety, sustainability, kinetics and mechanistic aspects of promising food processing technologies. Each article should make a clear contribution to further the understanding of a given science and technology area, and help clarify, when possible, whether or not it could be adopted by the food industry. Abrasive technology concerns manufacturing processes that involve use of abrasives in a variety of forms. It has a long history originating from the discovery of minerals. With the increasing requirements for high precision and high surface quality components in various applications, (e.g. silicon wafers in the semiconductor industry and optical lenses in the precision instrument industry), abrasive technology is becoming increasingly important in precision manufacturing. IJAT deals with abrasive technology, covering theoretical and applied research, new technologies and applications.

IJASM addresses agility, responsiveness, competitiveness and management of systems, defined as regularly interacting or interdependent groups of items or bodies forming a unified whole. IJASM highlights systems specified, designed, controlled, implemented, commissioned, operated, serviced or maintained with human and society requirements in mind. Examples include engineering assets, environment, building, transport, computers, supply chains, manufacturing, enterprises, and complex engineering products such as aircraft. IJASM acknowledges the need for better understanding of content/context/processes in systems and their interaction with the ever-changing environment.

IJAAC addresses the evolution and realisation of the theory, algorithms, techniques, schemes and tools for any kind of automation and control platforms including macro, micro and nano scale machineries and systems, with emphasis on implications that state-of-the-art technology choices have on both the feasibility and practicability of the intended applications. This perspective acknowledges the complexity of the automation, instrumentation and process control methods and delineates itself as an interface between the theory and practice existing in parallel over diverse spheres.

IJCAT addresses issues of computer applications, information and communication systems, software engineering and management, CAD/CAM/CAE, numerical analysis and simulations, finite element methods and analyses, robotics, computer applications in multimedia and new technologies, computer aided learning and training.

The issues addressed include the quality of response of materials, body structures and energy-absorbing systems subjected to sudden dynamic loading, focussing on new crashworthy structures, new concepts in restraint systems and realistic accident reconstruction. Articles reflect the importance of computer modelling, as well as the development of human surrogates in impact simulation and prediction of vehicle and passenger response. Papers on impact biomechanics, covering human response, mechanics of injury and occupant protection in general, are also published. International Journal of Fatigue covers the full range of scientific and technological issues associated with fatigue. The scope of the journal includes the spectrum of characterization, testing, and modeling of degradation processes under cyclic loading, commonly referred to as fatigue. This includes compromise of functionality with cycling, in addition to formation of cracks and other damage phenomena. Phenomena of interest range from the atomic level to engineering structures or devices, including all classes of materials and material systems.
