Energy & Environmental Science is an international journal dedicated to publishing exceptionally important and high quality, agenda-setting research tackling the key global and societal challenges of ensuring the provision of energy and protecting our environment for the future. The scope is intentionally broad and the journal recognises the complexity of issues and challenges relating to energy conversion and storage, alternative fuel technologies and environmental science. For work to be published it must be linked to the energy-environment nexus and be of significant general interest to our community-spanning readership. All scales of studies and analysis, from impactful fundamental advances, to interdisciplinary research across the (bio)chemical, (bio/geo)physical sciences and chemical engineering disciplines are welcomed.

Environmental Research publishes original reports describing studies of the adverse effects of environmental agents on humans and animals. The principal aim of the journal is to assess the impact of chemicals and microbiological pollutants on human health. Both in vivo and in vitro studies, focused on defining the etiology of environmentally induced illness and to increase understanding of the mechanisms by which environmental agents cause disease, are especially welcome. EMT does not accept papers dealing with mathematical modeling unless they report significant, new experimental data.

EuPA Open Proteomics is published by Elsevier on behalf of the European Proteomics Association (EuPA) and is aimed at both European and international protein scientists.Expanding and complementing the society affiliate Journal of Proteomics, EuPA Open Proteomics will publish on all aspects of proteomics and cover the complete spectrum from basic to translational proteomics. eCM provides an interdisciplinary forum for publication of preclinical research in the musculoskeletal field (Trauma, Maxillofacial, Spine and Orthopaedics) and the cells and materials used in the replacement, repair or regeneration of these tissues.The clinical relevance of the work must be briefly mentioned within the abstract, and in more detail in the discussion.Poor abstracts which do not concisely cover the paper contents will not be sent for review. The journal European Food Research and Technology publishes state-of-the-art research papers and review articles on fundamental and applied food research. The journal's mission is the fast publication of high quality papers on front-line research, new and novel techniques and developing trends in such disciplines as chemistry and biochemistry; technology and molecular biotechnology; nutritional chemistry and toxicology; analytical and sensory methodologies and food physics. EJCI considers any original contribution from the most sophisticated basic molecular sciences to applied clinical and translational research and evidence-based medicine across a broad range of subspecialties. The EJCI publishes reports of high-quality research that pertain to the genetic, molecular, cellular, or physiological basis of human biology and disease, as well as research that addresses prevalence, diagnosis, course, treatment, and prevention of disease. We are primarily interested in studies directly pertinent to humans, but submission of robust in vitro and animal work is also encouraged. Interdisciplinary work and research using innovative methods and combinations of laboratory, clinical, and epidemiological methodologies and techniques is of great interest to the journal. Several categories of manuscripts (for detailed description see below) are considered: editorials, original articles (also including randomized clinical trials, systematic reviews and meta-analyses), reviews (narrative reviews), opinion articles (including debates, perspectives and commentaries); and letters to the Editor.

EXPERIMENTAL and MOLECULAR MEDICINE, EMM, publishes research papers and a limited number of reviews in the fields of basic and applied molecular biology, and experimental biochemistry in medicine. Research areas include analysis of gene structure, function and regulation; molecular mechanisms of genetic recombination; recombinant nucleic acid technology and gene therapy. EMM is also dedicated to the experimental biochemistry in medicine, including the regulatory mechanisms of body functions; structural biology and interaction between proteins and/or nucleic acids. Although special research areas are emphasized for publication, articles dealing with molecular biology and experimental biochemistry in other areas will also be welcomed.

Experimental Dermatology provides a vehicle for the rapid publication of innovative and definitive reports, letters to the editor and review articles covering all aspects of experimental dermatology. Preference is given to papers of immediate importance to other investigators, either by virtue of their new methodology, experimental data or new ideas. The essential criteria for publication are clarity, experimental soundness and novelty. Letters to the editor related to published reports may also be accepted, provided that they are short and scientifically relevant to the reports mentioned, in order to provide a continuing forum for discussion. Review articles represent a state-of-the-art overview and are invited by the editors. Colour illustrations will be accepted free of charge.

Experimental Gerontology is a multidisciplinary journal for the publication of work from all areas of biogerontology, with an emphasis on studies focused at the systems level of investigation, such as whole organisms (e.g. invertebrate genetic models), immune, endocrine and cellular systems, as well as whole population studies (e.g. epidemiology).
