Contemporary Italian Politics, formerly Bulletin of Italian Politics, is a political science journal aimed at academics and policy makers as well as others with a professional or intellectual interest in the politics of Italy. The journal has two main aims:

Firstly, to provide rigorous analysis, in the English language, about the politics of what is one of the European Union’s four largest states in terms of population and Gross Domestic Product. We seek to do this aware that too often those in the English-speaking world looking for incisive analysis and insight into the latest trends and developments in Italian politics are likely to be stymied by two contrasting difficulties. On the one hand, they can turn to the daily and weekly print media. Here they will find information on the latest developments, sure enough; but much of it is likely to lack the incisiveness of academic writing and may even be straightforwardly inaccurate. On the other hand, readers can turn either to general political science journals – but here they will have to face the issue of fragmented information – or to specific journals on Italy – in which case they will find that politics is considered only insofar as it is part of the broader field of modern Italian studies. So what we are seeking to do in this new journal is to provide a forum which is designed to promote research in Italian politics and to offer an outlet that counterbalances the fragmentation of the field. In doing this, we also seek to rely on research conducted in Italian, which hardly reaches the English-speaking world.

The second aim follows from the first insofar as, in seeking to achieve it, we hope thereby to provide analysis that readers will find genuinely useful. With research funding bodies of all kinds giving increasing emphasis to knowledge transfer and increasingly demanding of applicants that they demonstrate the relevance of what they are doing to non-academic ‘end users’, political scientists have a self-interested motive for attempting a closer engagement with outside practitioners.

Contemporary Justice Review is an interdisciplinary journal for scholars, activists, and practitioners of social and restorative justice around the globe who seek to design and implement models of justice that take into account the needs of all. The journal publishes cutting-edge work on: social and restorative justice theory; restorative justice demonstration projects; peacemaking criminology; state crimes and healing from genocide; peaceful methods of conflict resolution; truth and reconciliation commissions; environmental justice; critiques of criminal justice institutions and law; structural issues of justice in the family, school, and workplace; utopian visions of a just society; and non-violent, needs-meeting solutions to needs-denying, power-based social arrangements.The journal embraces a variety of formats: scholarly articles; electronic roundtable discussions; interviews on social and restorative justice; narrative histories on crime and punishment; film and book review essays; and justice watch statements on timely issues that affect the quality of life around the globe. Contemporary Levant is an international peer-reviewed, multi-disciplinary journal of the Council for British Research in the Levant (CBRL), a British Academy-sponsored institute. The journal publishes original research on contemporary politics, society and culture in the Levant region, its diasporas and neighbouring countries that have a clear relevance to it. The journal aims to foster research agendas that engage with and reflect current and emerging issues in the region. Contemporary Music Review is a contemporary musicians' journal. It provides a forum where new tendencies in music can be discussed in both breadth and depth. Each issue focuses on a specific topic. The main concern of the journal is music today in all its aspects--its techniques of performance and composition, aesthetics, technology and its relationship with other disciplines and currents of thought. Contemporary Politics provides a platform for studies of politics that are alert to the international without being international relations, and conscious of national difference without ignoring international context. Such studies are often implicitly comparative, even if not explicitly so.Contemporary Politics ranges across international relations, comparative politics and national politics, and is not constrained by disciplinary boundaries in any domain. It takes an interest in major conceptual and theoretical issues generated by current world politics.Contemporary Politics is keen to uncover and explain politics in hidden spaces, and welcomes submissions that bring marginalized and misunderstood aspects of current international politics into focus and into the academic mainstream.Contemporary Politics carries articles that are accessible to informed academic and non-academic audiences around the world. While the journal does not have a book review section, it does carry lengthy review articles that are both informative and theoretically rich.Contemporary Politics publishes special issues on topics of especially broad interest and great moment. Contemporary Psychoanalysis, a double blind peer-reviewed international quarterly, is the journal of the William Alanson White Institute and the William Alanson White Psychoanalytic Society. We publish creative and original psychoanalytic writing from both new and experienced authors. Although we very much encourage diverse perspectives, our primary focus is on interpersonal and relational psychoanalysis. Our pages include a mix of the scholarly and the clinical, the heady and the playful. Reflecting the objectives of the Academy of Social Sciences, it emphasises the publication of work that engages with issues of major public interest and concern across the world, and highlights the implications of that work for policy and professional practice. Contributions are welcome in any appropriate form, including critical essays, reviews of significant topics, qualitative or quantitative empirical studies, including case studies and large-scale statistical analyses. Well documented examples of social science in action, composite reviews of sets of books and other publications are also welcome. Papers will not normally be more than 5,000 to 6,000 words. Contemporary Theatre Review is an international peer-reviewed journal that engages with the crucial issues and innovations in theatre today. Encompassing a wide variety of theatre forms, from new playwrights and devisors to theatres of movement, image and other forms of physical expression, from new acting methods to music theatre, live art and multi-media production work, the journal encourages contributions on physical theatre, opera, dance, design and the increasingly blurred boundaries between the physical and the visual arts. We aim to publish essays that face the challenge of finding innovative critical approaches to match artistic experimentation, and to encourage scholarly work that transcends established categories of academic practice. This may involve a focus on productions that bring together different artistic traditions, or a consideration of how theatre engages with social and political realities, or an engagement with the format of the academic essay in a bid to reflect the performance being analysed. The journal examines trends in contemporary theatre and performance, and seeks to explore how theatrical vocabularies are shifting to accommodate and reflect global and local cultures. As well as research articles, the journal publishes book reviews, and makes space for production notes, designs, manifestos and interviews by emergent and established theatre-makers, which are collected in a Documents section. Continuum is an academic journal of media and cultural studies. Corrections: Policy, Practice, and Research is a peer-reviewed journal with a broad correctional focus encompassing a wide range of relevant topics and innovative approaches from new theoretical perspectives and research findings to their implications for improving policy and practice.
