The International Journal of Law and Psychiatry is intended to provide a multi-disciplinary forum for the exchange of ideas and information among professionals concerned with the interface of law and psychiatry. There is a growing awareness of the need for exploring the fundamental goals of both the legal and psychiatric systems and the social implications of their interaction. The journal seeks to enhance understanding and cooperation in the field through the varied approaches represented, not only by law and psychiatry, but also by the social sciences and related disciplines. The Editors and Publisher wish to encourage a dialogue among the experts from different countries whose diverse legal cultures afford interesting and challenging alternatives to existing theories and practices. Priority will therefore be given to articles which are oriented to a comparative or international perspective. The journal will publish significant conceptual contributions on contemporary issues as well as serve in the rapid dissemination of important and relevant research findings.The International Journal of Law and Psychiatry is published bimonthly in English; wherever possible, translated articles are accompanied by an abstract in the original language. The International Journal of Law, Crime and Justice is a refereed journal for high quality research and analysis in the areas of socio-legal studies and the psychology of law, criminology and social justice studies. The Journal invites papers based on empirical research, theoretical analysis and debate, and policy analysis and critique. Papers should be between 7000-10,000 words in length, although shorter papers relating to policy analysis and debate will be considered. The peer review process and decision on publication will normally be completed within 90 days of receipt of submissions. The International Journal of Machine Tools and Manufacture is devoted to advances in scientific understanding of essential mechanics of processes and machines applied to the manufacture of engineering components, mainly in metals, but also in composites, ceramics and other structural/functional materials. It does not deal with large-scale natural organic materials. To this end coverage is given to a range of topics that includes:•Essential mechanics of processes involving material removal, accretion and deformation, in solid, semi-solid or particulate form•Performance characteristics of machine tools and machine tool work-piece systems•Tool design, utilization and failure•Significant scientific development of existing or new processes and machines•Approaches to added value through geometrical/microstructural precision•Micro manufactureThe above list is not exhaustive and papers on other topics associated with process science/technology or manufacturing hardware are welcome. Significant and useful advance of the current state of knowledge is an essential factor and it is important that papers are presented in a manner that will be appreciated by both academics and practising engineers. It is unlikely that papers dealing with theory or modelling alone will be acceptable, unless a significant proven advance in scientific/technological knowledge is demonstrated. Likewise, papers in which the use of methodology predominates over technological advance would probably be rejected. Normally, multipart papers are not acceptable.

The International Journal of Management Education provides a forum for scholarly reporting and discussion of developments in all aspects of teaching and learning in business and management. The International Journal of Mechanical Sciences (IJMS) is an international forum for the publication and dissemination of original work which contributes to greater scientific understanding of the main disciplines underpinning the mechanical, civil and material engineering sciences.Original contributions providing insight into the use of analytical, computational (e.g. FEM, BEM, mesh-free methods and others) modelling methods for rigid-body mechanics (e.g. dynamics, vibration, stability), structural mechanics, metal forming, behaviour and application of advanced materials (metals, composite, cellular, smart etc.), impact mechanics, strain localization and other effects of nonlinearity (e.g. large deflections, plasticity, fracture etc.), fluid mechanics (external and internal flows), tribology, thermodynamics and materials processing generally form the core of the journal contents.The International Journal of Mechanical Sciences does not accept for publication material which quite specifically belongs with other established specialist journals. Papers whose concern is primarily with mathematical or computational techniques, developed within a general framework and not aimed at any specific engineering application, are not requested. Similarly, papers whose content is purely descriptive or empirical and which do not make any scientific contribution, will not be considered. Comparison with experiments/tests conducted by the authors or others to validate the main contribution of the paper are strongly encouraged, however design-based studies, based on established formulae and methods, are outside our scope and should not be submitted to the International Journal of Mechanical Sciences.Only original, innovative and novel papers will be considered for publication in the International Journal of Mechanical Sciences and before considering their work, authors are required to confirm that their paper has not been submitted to any other journal in English or any other language. Occasionally, 'Letters to the Editor' are considered.

International Journal of Medical Informatics provides an international medium for dissemination of original results and interpretative reviews concerning the field of medical informatics. The Journal emphasizes the evaluation of systems in healthcare settings.The scope of journal covers:Information systems, including national or international registration systems, hospital information systems, departmental and/or physician's office systems, document handling systems, electronic medical record systems, standardization, systems integration etc.;Computer-aided medical decision support systems using heuristic, algorithmic and/or statistical methods as exemplified in decision theory, protocol development, artificial intelligence, etc.Educational computer based programs pertaining to medical informatics or medicine in general;Organizational, economic, social, clinical impact, ethical and cost-benefit aspects of IT applications in health care.Short technical communications concerning (solved) problems in implementing or using existing information systems are welcome. Review articles concerning subjects falling in the scope of the journal are also invited.

Pathogen genome sequencing projects have provided a wealth of data that need to be set in context to pathogenicity and the outcome of infections. In addition, the interplay between a pathogen and its host cell has become increasingly important to understand and interfere with diseases caused by microbial pathogens. IJMM meets these needs by focussing on genome and proteome analyses, studies dealing with the molecular mechanisms of pathogenicity and the evolution of pathogenic agents, the interactions between pathogens and host cells ("cellular microbiology"), and molecular epidemiology. To help the reader keeping up with the rapidly evolving new findings in the field of medical microbiology, IJMM publishes original articles, case studies and topical, state-of-the-art mini-reviews in a well balanced fashion. All articles are strictly peer-reviewed. Important topics are reinforced by 2 special issues per year dedicated to a particular theme. Finally, at irregular intervals, current opinions on recent or future developments in medical microbiology are presented in an editorial section.

The International Journal of Mineral Processing covers all aspects of the processing of solid-mineral materials such as metallic and non-metallic ores, coals and other solid sources of secondary materials, etc. Topics dealt with include: comminution, sizing, classification (in air and water), gravity concentration, flotation, electric and magnetic separation, miscellaneous physical separation techniques, mixing and blending, thickening, filtering, drying, storage, transport, agglomeration, pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy (when applied to low-grade raw materials), biohydrometallurgy (when applied to low-grade raw materials), biometallurgy (use of bacteria and other living organisms), testing, control and automation, waste treatment and disposal and mineralogical studies (when related to beneficiation).
