Human Rights Review is an interdisciplinary journal which provides a scholarly forum in which human rights issues and their underlying empirical, theoretical and philosophical foundations are explored. The journal seeks to place human rights practices and policies within a theoretical perspective in order to link empirical research to broader human rights issues. Human Rights Review welcomes submissions from all academic areas in order to foster a wide-ranging dialogue on issues of concern to both the academic and the policy-making communities. The journal is receptive to submissions drawing from diverse methodologies and approaches including case studies, quantitative analysis, legal scholarship and philosophical discourse in order to provide a comprehensive discussion concerning human rights issues.

IEEE Security & Privacy’s primary objective is to stimulate and track advances in security, privacy, and dependability and present these advances in a form that can be useful to a broad cross-section of the professional community—ranging from academic researchers to industry practitioners. It provides articles with both a practical and research bent by the top thinkers in the field of security and privacy, along with case studies, surveys, tutorials, columns, and in-depth interviews and podcasts for the information security industry.

Through special issues, the magazine explores other timely aspects of privacy in areas such as usable security, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, cryptography, and big data. Other popular topics include software, hardware, network, and systems security, privacy-enhancing technologies, data analytics for security and privacy, wireless/mobile and embedded security, security foundations, security economics, privacy policies, integrated design methods, sociotechnical aspects, and critical infrastructure. In addition, the magazine accepts peer-reviewed articles of wide interest under a general call, and also features regular columns on hot topics and interviews with luminaries in the field.

IET Intelligent Transport Systems is an interdisciplinary journal devoted to research into the practical applications of ITS and infrastructures. The International Review of Intellectual Property and Competition Law (IIC), tracks worldwide developments in intellectual property and competition law, presenting the finest academic research in these fields from a European legal perspective.  Our scholarly emphasis concentrates on disseminating and expanding upon the European approach to law. Our goal is to set ourselves apart from other (esp. several US) publications. To this end we focus on two specific aims:(1)   The most significant legal developments from around the world (including, in particular, Asia), are taken up and considered within the European context. These developments are presented in a manner that is understandable not only to a European audience, but also to US and Japanese readers.(2)   Current legal developments occurring in Europe are examined in such a way that the non-European reader can appreciate their significance.IIC offers a platform for opposing ideas, providing for rich debate on a host of current IP and competition law topics.The value of IIC for European specialists, going beyond other “European” journals, rests in our treatment of non-European topics combined with our illuminating analyses of European legal developments as seen within a global legal context.For non-European specialists, IIC is the medium of choice as it explores developments extending beyond strictly European legal issues (i.e. developments in Asia, India, the Near East, Africa, Latin and North America), while at the same time conveying a European viewpoint on these events. In this respect, the target readership comprises those (including Americans and Asians) interested in more than merely legal developments in the USA.We make no compromises with regard to the scholarly nature of the journal. This commitment is the aspect that separates IIC from a host of other journals on the topic. However, the communication of our content consistently maintains a, reference to practice. The last decade has seen the introduction of computers and information technology at many levels of human transaction. Information technology (IT) is now used for data collation, in daily commercial transactions like transfer of funds, conclusion of contract, and complex diagnostic purposes in fields such as law, medicine and transport. The use of IT has expanded rapidly with the introduction of multimedia and the Internet. Any new technology inevitably raises a number of questions ranging from the legal to the ethical and the social. Information & Communications Technology Law covers topics such as: the implications of IT for legal processes and legal decision-making and related ethical and social issues; the liability of programmers and expert system builders; computer misuse and related policing issues; intellectual property rights in algorithms, chips, databases, software etc; IT and competition law; data protection; freedom of information; the nature of privacy, legal controls in the dissemination of pornographic, racist and defamatory material on the Internet; network policing; regulation of the IT industry; problems of computer representation and the computational semantics of law; the role of visual or image-based legal 'mental models'; general public policy and philosophical aspects of law and IT. The journal invites articles, national reports and case notes on the above and related topics. All submissions are independently refereed. The journal is published three times a year with one issue a year devoted to a particular theme. Forthcoming special issues will focus on intellectual property issues and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). The journal seeks to foster exchanges among practitioners, policy-makers, and scholars and to provide a forum for comment on issues and trends in education. The journal specializes in frank argumentative articles on the fundamental purposes of education. Its articles typically challenge conventional assumptions about education and higher education and do so from perspectives in philosophy or the social sciences. A special feature is the publishing of responses, and frequently response to responses, in the same issue as the article which provoked them. Its authors are scattered throught the world. All contributions to this journal are peer reviewed.
