Physiological Entomology is designed primarily to serve the interests of experimentalists who work on insects and other arthropods. It thus has a bias towards physiological and experimental approaches to understanding behaviour, but it also retains the Royal Entomological Society's interest in the general physiology of arthropods. The broad subject coverage of the Journal includes:
Physiological Genomics publishes the results of a wide variety of experimental and computational studies from human and model systems to link genes and pathways to physiological functions. The journal encourages the submission of research utilizing genomics, epigenomics, proteomics, metabolomics, and other systems approaches together with novel technologies linking genes to the function of complex biological pathways.
Physiological Measurement publishes papers about the quantitative assessment and visualization of physiological function in clinical research and practice, with an emphasis on the development of new methods of measurement and their validation.
Papers are published on topics including:
The journal encourages publication of data and code as well as results.
Physiological Measurement is an interdisciplinary journal. Authors of each article are therefore asked to ensure that at least the title and abstract of their article are understandable to researchers in other disciplines and to supply suitable keywords as a concise method of describing its general research topic in both clinical and scientific terms.
Physiological Reports is an online, open access monthly journal that publishes peer-reviewed research across all areas of basic and translational physiology and allied disciplines. Case reports are acceptable, so long as they have a physiological focus, but Physiological Reports does not publish clinical trials. For further information, see the journal's full scope statement.
The journal publishes articles on normal and pathological physiology, biochemistry, biophysics, and pharmacology.Authors can submit original, previously unpublished research articles, review articles, rapid or short communications.Check our instructions in the Instructions for Authors before submitting a manuscript.Instructions for authors - Respect the instructions carefully when submitting your manuscript. Submitted manuscripts or revised manuscripts that do not follow these Instructions will not be included into the peer-review process. The articles are available in full versions as pdf files (beginning with volume 49, 2000). The journal publishes the online Pre-Press version of the articles that are searchable in Medlineand and can be cited.
Physiological Reviews provides state of the art coverage of timely issues in the physiological and biomedical sciences. It appeals to physiologists, neuroscientists, cell biologists, biophysicists, and clinicians with special interest in pathophysiology. Topics are covered in a broad and comprehensive manner. These articles are very useful in teaching and research as they provide interesting, clearly written updates on important new developments.
Physiology publishes invited review articles written by leaders in their fields. These articles are peer reviewed and highlight major advances in the broadly defined field of physiology. The journal also publishes shorter articles that either present important emerging topics and technologies or differing points of view. Finally, the journal highlights and briefly summarizes some of the most exciting new papers in physiology. With a new format that is both exciting and attractive, the journal is a valuable tool for researchers, educators, and students.

Plant Physiology and Biochemistry publishes original theoretical, experimental and technical contributions in the various fields of plant physiology (biochemistry, physiology, structure, genetics, plant-microbe interactions, etc.) at diverse levels of integration (molecular, subcellular, cellular, organ, whole plant, environmental). Opinions expressed in the journal are the sole responsibility of the authors and publication does not imply the editors' agreement.Plant Physiology and Biochemistry publishes several types of articles: Reviews, Papers and Short Papers. Articles for Reviews are either invited by the editor or proposed by the authors for the editor's prior agreement. Reviews should not exceed 40 typewritten pages and Short Papers no more than approximately 8 typewritten pages. The fundamental character of Plant Physiology and Biochemistry remains that of a journal for original results.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more. Publishing only the best work, Plant, Cell & Environment publishes original research, either theoretical or experimental, that provides novel insights into the ways that plants respond to their environment. Thus the journal covers plant biochemistry, molecular biology, biophysics, cell physiology, whole plant physiology, crop physiology and physiological ecology, together with structural, genetic, pathological and meteorological aspects as related to plant function. Work at any scale, from the molecular to the community level, is welcomed. Author Benefits Ease of submission Submit your manuscript electronically through our simple online submission process No page charges Colour reproduction has become a vital part of data presentation in many areas of plant science, but remains costly in spite of new printing technologies. To aid authors in the presentation of colour images, we have decided to allow one colour figure free of charge. The colour must be essential to the presentation of the information, and decisions on this will be taken by the editors. Additional colour figures will be charged at the standard rate. A colour work agreement form, which details cost, must be included with all manuscripts containing colour and can be downloaded here. Rapid Publication By improving schedules and increasing the efficiency of operations, we are now able to publish papers Early View within an average of one month from the date of final acceptance, subject to the prompt return of proof corrections.

Psychophysiology is the oldest, first, and most established journal in its field. This prestigious international journal plays a key role in advancing psychophysiological science and human neuroscience, covering research on the interrelationships between the physiological and psychological aspects of brain and behavior. Psychophysiology reports on new theoretical, empirical and methodological advances in: psychology and psychiatry, cognitive science, cognitive and affective neuroscience, social science, health science and behavioral medicine, and biomedical engineering. The journal publishes theoretical papers, evaluative reviews of literature, empirical papers, methodological articles, meeting announcements, and fellowship opportunities.
Previously published in two sections, Human Experimental Psychology (Section A) and Comparative and Physiological Psychology (B) the Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology merged in 2006 to form a single journal. The Quarterly Journal of Experimental Psychology is a leading international journal that publishes original articles on any topic within the field of experimental psychology. The journal publishes Rapid Communication articles (under 3,000 words) reporting novel techniques or ground breaking results, as well as substantial experimental reports. The journal offers an Open Access option, approved by the Wellcome Trust and other funders. The journal is keen to encourage submissions across a broad range of areas in experimental psychology, including those reporting work on human and animal subjects. Manuscripts including the use of functional brain imaging are also encouraged, as are papers reporting computational modelling of behavioural data.QJEP offers a competitive publication time-scale. Accepted Rapid Communications have priority in the publication, and usually appear in print within a few months. We aim to publish all accepted (but uncorrected) articles online within 7 days. Articles in their final form appear on-line, through the iFirst system, several months prior to paper publication.QJEP now offers an iOpenAccess option for authors. Peer Review IntegrityAll published research articles in this journal have undergone rigorous peer review, based on initial editor screening and refereeing by independent expert referees.
