Apoptosis is an international peer-reviewed journal devoted to the rapid publication of innovative basic and clinically-oriented investigations into programmed cell death. It aims to stimulate research on the basis of mechanisms of apoptosis and on its role in various human disease processes including: cancer, autoimmune disease, viral infection, AIDS, cardiovascular disease, neurodegenerative disorders, osteoporosis and ageing. The editors intend to encourage the development of clinical therapies against apoptosis-related diseases.
This journal is devoted to publishing the highest quality innovative papers in the fields of biochemistry and biotechnology. The typical focus of the journal is to report applications of novel scientific and technological breakthroughs, as well as technological subjects that are still in the proof-of-concept stage. Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology provides a forum for case studies and practical concepts of biotechnology, utilization, including controls, statistical data analysis, problem descriptions unique to a particular application, and bioprocess economic analyses. The journal publishes reviews deemed of interest to readers, as well as book reviews, meeting and symposia notices, and news items relating to biotechnology in both the industrial and academic communities. In addition, Applied Biochemistry and Biotechnology often publishes lists of patents and publications of special interest to readers.
Applied Biochemistry and Microbiology (Prikladnaya biokhimiya i mikrobiologiya) publishes original articles in biochemistry and microbiology of present or potential practical applications. The scope of the journal includes studies of enzymes; mechanisms of enzymatic reactions; biosynthesis and biogenesis of physiologically active compounds and the pathways of their regulation; biocatalysis in organic synthesis; and metabolic engineering. In addition to experimental studies the journal publishes invited reviews.
Applied Microbiology and Biotechnology addresses a range of topics, presenting full-length papers and mini-reviews of new and emerging products, processes and technologies. Coverage includes prokaryotic or eukaryotic cells, relevant enzymes and proteins; applied genetics and molecular biotechnology; genomics and proteomics; applied microbial and cell physiology; environmental biotechnology; process and products and more.5-Year Impact Factor 3.613 (2011)*
This bimonthly journal has a 30-year history of publishing, first as the Canadian Journal of Sport Sciences, and later as the Canadian Journal of Applied Physiology. It publishes original research articles, reviews, and commentaries, focussing on the application of physiology, nutrition, and metabolism to the study of human health, physical activity, and fitness. The published research, reviews, and symposia will be of interest to exercise physiologists, physical fitness and exercise rehabilitation specialists, public health and health care professionals, as well as basic and applied physiologists, nutritionists, and biochemists.

Applied and Environmental Microbiology® publishes study results that make significant contributions to applied microbial research, basic microbial ecology research, and genetic and molecular investigations of microbial topics of practical value. The journal sheds new light on key microbiological principles, fundamental microbial processes, and basic questions in applied and environmental microbiology.
Applied & Translational Genomics is a new open access biomedical journal providing a forum for publication and discussion of cutting edge research and new developments in applied and translational genomics, including information technologies that enable both advances in the field as well as the application of advances to clinical care and educational, ethical, economic, public health, citizen and policy issues pertinent to research advances. As such the Applied & Translational Genomics is a uniquely interdisciplinary journal. Further, it aims to publish new approaches to 'translational genomics', such as studies designed to probe the elasticity and dynamism of molecular processes. The Journal's mission is to enhance the knowledge, clinical adoption and discussion of applied and translational genomics worldwide. Its ethics mission is to enable global benefit sharing through the publication of articles, analyses and commentaries of researchers, clinicians, and patient populations situated throughout the world. The journal encourages submissions by authors in the developing world and to support their access to publishing, the Journal invites authors for whom processing fees represent a barrier, to contact the editor about our sliding fee scale policy.

Archives of Gerontology and Geriatrics provides a medium for the publication of papers from the fields of experimental gerontology and clinical and social geriatrics. The principal aim of the journal is to facilitate the exchange of information between specialists in these three fields of gerontological research. Experimental papers dealing with the basic mechanisms of aging at molecular, cellular, tissue or organ levels will be published.Clinical papers will be accepted if they provide sufficiently new information or are of fundamental importance for the knowledge of human aging. Purely descriptive clinical papers will be accepted only if the results permit further interpretation. Papers dealing with anti-aging pharmacological preparations in humans are welcome. Papers on the social aspects of geriatrics will be accepted if they are of general interest regarding the epidemiology of aging and the efficiency and working methods of the social organizations for the health care of the elderly.Benefits to authorsWe also provide many author benefits, such as free PDFs, a liberal copyright policy, special discounts on Elsevier publications and much more.
