Increasing demand for professionals for the languages services industry and other areas of intercultural communication and the concomitant proliferation of training programmes have given rise to widespread concern for and reflection on how translator and interpreter education and training can best be conceived and the necessary skills and knowledge to be acquired. This is the first journal in the field of translation studies to devote its attention entirely to research in education and training. ITT is a refereed international journal that seeks to address issues relating to the education and training of professional translators and interpreters, and of those working in other forms of interlingual and intercultural mediation. ITT aims to provide a specialized forum for trainers, educators, researchers and professionals sharing an interest in the training of translators and/or interpreters from diverse theoretical and applied approaches, encouraging critical reflection on the many issues involved, including: curricular design; syllabus design; translator/translation competence(s); teaching and learning approaches, methods and techniques; teaching and learning resources; assessment and accreditation, amongst others. ITT seeks in particular to encourage interdisciplinary approaches incorporating appropriate research methods and results from fields such as education, curricular studies, or language acquisition, as well as others more frequently associated with tanslation studies, such as cultural studies, linguistics, communication studies, anthropology, psychology, cognitive science or literary studies. Each biannual issue includes: original research articles; reviews of recent publications on or for education and training, including textbooks;a features section which will consist variously of course profiles, debates on training and educational paradigms, interviews, reviews of software/hardware, reports on events, project presentations; abstracts of Ph.D. and Masters dissertations on translator and interpreter education and training. The journal also intends to publish, when possible, English-language translations of outstanding articles originally published in other languages, and occasional guest edited monographic issues.

Established in 1889, The Jewish Quarterly Review is the oldest English-language journal in the field of Jewish studies. JQR preserves the attention to textual detail so characteristic of the journal in the past, while attempting now to reach a wider and more diverse audience. The Journal of Aesthetic Education (JAE) is a highly respected interdisciplinary journal that focuses on clarifying the issues of aesthetic education understood in its most extensive meaning. The Journal thus welcomes articles on philosophical aesthetics and education, to problem areas in education critical to arts and humanities at all institutional levels ; to an understanding of the aesthetic import of the new communications media and environmental aesthetics; and to an understanding of the aesthetic character of humanistic disciplines. Established in 1942 by the American Society for Aesthetics, The Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism publishes current research articles, symposia, special issues, and timely book reviews in aesthetics and the arts. The term aesthetics, in this connection, is understood to include all studies of the arts and related types of experience from a philosophic, scientific, or other theoretical standpoint. The arts are taken to include not only the traditional forms such as music, literature, landscape architecture, dance, painting, architecture, sculpture, and other visual arts, but also more recent additions such as photography, film, earthworks, performance and conceptual art, the crafts and decorative arts, contemporary digital innovations, and other cultural practices, including work and activities in the field of popular culture. The Journal takes a theoretical and interdisciplinary approach to the arts and aesthetic matters. Its authors include artists, writers, and academics in the fields of philosophy, English literature, comparative literature, art, music, theater and drama, art history, psychology, law, and related disciplines. The Journal and the American Society for Aesthetics also sponsor the biannual John Fisher Memorial Prize in Aesthetics in honor of John Fisher, editor of the Journal from 1973-1988. The Prize is offered to foster the development of new voices and talent in the field of aesthetics.

The Journal of Architecture is jointly published by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and Routledge, an imprint of Taylor & Francis. It was launched in 1995 and is the longest standing, continuously published, international, refereed publication on architecture based in the UK. The Journal of Comparative Germanic Linguistics features contributions that establish robust empirical generalizations within a formal theory of grammar that permit precise discussions.
