Lake and Reservoir Management (LRM) publishes original, previously unpublished studies relevant to lake and reservoir management. Papers address the management of lakes and reservoirs, their watersheds and tributaries, along with the limnology and ecology needed for sound management of these systems. Case studies that advance the science of lake management or confirm important management concepts are appropriate. Papers on economic, social, regulatory and policy aspects of lake management are also welcome with appropriate supporting data. Literature syntheses and papers developing a conceptual foundation of lake and watershed ecology will be considered for publication, but are not the primary focus of this journal. Shorter notes that add to an important and documented base of knowledge or that convey important early results of long-term studies will also be considered if the contribution is significant. All submissions are subject to peer review to assure uniformity and high quality in materials published by NALMS. Typical areas of study addressed in LRM papers include: * Assessment of lake resources, uses, problems and threats * Monitoring methods or programs and their implications for management * Ecology and management of invasive species * Evaluation of in-lake management approaches and impacts * Evaluation of watershed-based management approaches and impacts * Social and economic dimensions of lake management LRM functions as a record of advances in lake management and a resource for lake managers, researchers and policy makers. Papers must demonstrate relevance to lake management, integrate findings with current knowledge, apply sound study design and data analysis, and convey an important message clearly and concisely.

The research published in Language Acquisition: A Journal of Developmental Linguistics makes a clear contribution to linguistic theory by increasing our understanding of how language is acquired. The journal focuses on the acquisition of syntax, semantics, phonology, and morphology, and considers theoretical, experimental, and computational perspectives. Language Assessment Quarterly: An International Journal (LAQ) is dedicated to the advancement of theory, research, and practice in first, second, and foreign language assessment for school, college, and university students; for employment; and for immigration and citizenship. LAQ publishes original articles addressing theoretical issues, empirical research, and professional standards and ethics related to language assessment, as well as interdisciplinary articles on related topics, and reports of language test development and testing practice. Language Awareness encourages and disseminates work which explores the following: the role of explicit knowledge about language in the process of language learning; the role that such explicit knowledge about language plays in language teaching and how such knowledge can best be mediated by teachers; the role of explicit knowledge about language in language use: e.g. sensitivity to bias in language, manipulative aspects of language, literary use of language. It is also a goal of Language Awareness to encourage the establishment of bridges between the language sciences and other disciplines within or outside educational contexts.Language Awareness is an international forum for the reporting and critical discussion of language awareness research and practice, and for the building and development of relevant theory. The journal is open to contributions from a broad range of research approaches: qualitative and quantitative, established and innovative. It welcomes work dealing with a wide variety of languages and international contexts.The journal operates with a broad definition of language awareness. It embraces critical perspectives and consciousness-raising, extends to literary awareness, and integrates awareness of other (i.e. non-linguistic) areas of human communication. As a general guide, papers tend typically, but not exclusively, to fall within the following areas:Exploration of the means to develop one's language awareness and evaluation of the benefits to be derived from so doing, whether through metalinguistic introspection and reflection or through mediated explicit knowledge about language and conscious understanding of how languages work, of how people acquire, learn and teach languages, how they use them and are influenced by them. Language and Cognitive Processes provides an international forum for the publication of theoretical and experimental research into the mental processes and representations involved in language use. The psychological study of language has attracted increasing research interest over the past three decades, and Language and Cognitive Processes provides a common focus for this enterprise. The journal is also interested in fostering the relationship between cognitive theoretical accounts of language and its neural bases. From 2009, a Special Section of each volume is devoted to the Cognitive Neuroscience of Language to highlight the strong interest in the growing influence of cognitive neuroscience methodologies.The journal emphasises the importance of an interdisciplinary approach to the study of language. Apart from research in experimental and developmental psychology, Language and Cognitive Processes publishes work derived from linguistics, philosophy, cognitive neuropsychology, cognitive neuroscience and computational modelling. Contributions are accepted in the form of experimental and observational studies, theoretical discussions, short notes and replies, and review articles. Research papers must clearly explain the theoretical background, hypotheses to be tested and the theoretical interpretation of the results. These points should be reflected in the abstract and in the main paper. The development of cognitive neuroscience methodologies has significantly broadened the empirical scope of experimental language studies. Both hemodynamic imaging and electrophysiological approaches provide new perspectives on the representation and processing of language, and add important constraints on the development of theoretical accounts of language function.In light of the strong interest in and growing influence of these new tools Language and Cognitive Processes publishes a Special Section on the Cognitive Neuroscience of Language. All types of articles will be considered, including reviews, whose submission is encouraged. Submissions should exemplify the subject in its most straightforward sense: linking good cognitive science and good neuroscience to answer key questions about the nature of language and cognition.We are happy to entertain papers that use any approach to investigate the cognitive neuroscience of language. Importantly, the paper should address a neurobiological issue as well as a cognitive one, or integrate the two approaches, or provide some evidence that the neurobiology of language is being studied. Language & Intercultural Communication promotes an interdisciplinary understanding of the interplay between language and intercultural communication. It therefore welcomes research into intercultural communication, particularly where it explores the importance of linguistic aspects; and research into language, especially the learning of foreign languages, where it explores the importance of intercultural perspectives. The journal is alert to the implications for education, especially higher education, and for language learning and teaching. It is also receptive to research on the frontiers between languages and cultures, and on the implications of linguistic and intercultural issues for the world of work. The journal seeks to advance a perception of the intercultural dimension of language within a complex and pluralist view of the world. To this end, it seeks always to resist reductive and hegemonic interpretations, and is stimulated by contemporary, critical perspectives in understanding cultural practices and intercultural relationships. Its aspiration to promote an understanding of the position and politics of language(s) in intercultural communication is conceived as a contribution to personal development and to interpersonal understanding, dialogue and co-operation. Language, Culture and Curriculum provides a forum for the discussion of the many factors, social, cultural, cognitive and organisational, which are relevant to the formulation and implementation of language curricula. Second languages, minority and heritage languages are a special concern. First-language and foreign language studies are also welcomed when they have implications for multiculturalism.Language Culture and Curriculum welcomes articles on language teaching programmes of all kinds that are designed to promote multiculturalism, with a special concern for weaker and threatened languages. Studies of first language learning are not excluded, nor are studies of English and other major languages, whether as first or as foreign and second languages, provided the topics of cultural content and learner motivation are prominent. Priority is given to articles dealing with language teaching, but historical, sociological and theoretical articles are welcomed if they deal with cultural and attitudinal aspects of language relevant to teaching practice.

Laterality: Asymmetries of Body, Brain and Cognition publishes high quality research on all aspects of lateralisation in humans and non-human species. Laterality's principal interest is in the psychological, behavioural and neurological correlates of lateralisation. The editors will also consider accessible papers from any discipline which can illuminate the general problems of the evolution of biological and neural asymmetry, papers on the cultural, linguistic, artistic and social consequences of lateral asymmetry, and papers on its historical origins and development. The interests of workers in laterality are typically broad. Submission of inter-disciplinary work, either empirical or theoretical, or concerned with problems of measurement or statistical analysis, is therefore also encouraged. The journal publishes special issues on particular topics. The first issue was published in March 1996, and six issues are now published every year.The editors encourage the submission of dissenting opinions and comments that directly relate to papers that have been published in Laterality. Law and Literature, published tri-annually and edited by faculty of the Cardozo School of Law and a board of international scholars, is one of only two journals in the country entirely focused on the interdisciplinary movement known as Law and Literature. The movement, which extols law-related literature and the literary value of legal documents, provides a unique perspective on how law and literature are mutually enlightening. Issues in private law and public law, restrictions on creative expression, gender and racial bias, hermeneutics (interpretive methodologies), and legal themes in works of literature are among the journal's regular topics.

The  Law and Financial Markets Review is a new, independent, English language journal devoted to providing high quality information, comment and analysis for lawyers specialising in banking and financial market issues and to others with interests in legal and regulatory developments affecting the financial markets. Published bi-monthly  LFMR contains articles written by leading experts providing a forum for practical guidance on, as well as reflective and topical analysis of, all major jurisdictions, with a particular focus on the interaction between the law and market practice and behaviour.

Articles from academic contributors are subject to rigorous peer review.

Law and Humanities is a peer-reviewed journal, providing a forum for scholarly discourse within the arts and humanities around the subject of law. For this purpose, the arts and humanities disciplines are taken to include literature, history (including history of art), philosophy, theology, classics and the whole spectrum of performance and representational arts. The remit of the journal does not extend to consideration of the laws that regulate practical aspects of the arts and humanities (such as the law of intellectual property).  Law and Humanities is principally concerned to engage with those aspects of human experience which are not empirically quantifiable or scientifically predictable. Each issue will carry four or five major articles of between 8,000 and 12,000 words each. The journal will also carry shorter papers (up to 4,000 words) sharing good practice in law and humanities education; reports of conferences; reviews of books, exhibitions, plays, concerts and other artistic publications.

The meeting of law and technology is rapidly becoming an increasingly significant (and controversial) topic.  Law, Innovation and Technology is, however, the only journal to engage fully with it, setting an innovative and distinctive agenda for lawyers, ethicists and policy makers. Spanning ICTs, biotechnologies, nanotechnologies, neurotechnologies, robotics and AI, it offers a unique forum for the highest level of reflection on this essential area.
