Pflügers Archiv European Journal of Physiology publishes the results of original research considered likely to further the physiological sciences in their broadest sense. Topics include pathophysiological or methodological issues when these can be used as a tool for further investigation of physiological mechanisms. Papers should give mechanistic insights into physiological functions at the molecular and cellular level. Priority will be given to manuscripts that provide conceptual novelty. Phenomenology and the Cognitive Sciences is an interdisciplinary, international journal that serves as a forum to explore the intersections between phenomenology, empirical science, and analytic philosophy of mind.

The journal represents an attempt to build bridges between continental phenomenological approaches (in the tradition following Husserl) and disciplines that have not always been open to or aware of phenomenological contributions to understanding cognition and related topics. The journal strongly encourages submissions of collections of high-quality papers on well-defined topics presented at academic meetings (e.g. a workshop, a conference, or a symposium).
