Aims and Scope: ALTEX, edited by the Swiss Society ALTEX Edition is the official journal of CAAT (Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, USA), EUSAAT (European Society for Alternatives to Animal testing) and T4 (transatlantic think tank of toxicology, Baltimore, Konstanz, Utrecht). ALTEX, issued by the Swiss society ALTEX Edition, is the official journal of ASCCT, the American Society for Cellular and Computational Toxicology, CAAT, the Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing at the Johns Hopkins University Baltimore, USA, CAAT-Europe the Center for Alternatives to Animal Testing Europe at the University of Konstanz, Germany, EUSAAT, the European Society for Alternatives to Animal Testing, t4, the transatlantic think tank of toxicology (Baltimore, Utrecht, Konstanz) and the Doerenkamp chairs in Germany, India, The Netherlands, Switzerland and USA. ALTEX publishes original articles, short communications, reviews, as well as news and comments, meeting reports and book reviews. ALTEX is devoted to the publication of research on the development and promotion of alternatives to animal experiments according to the 3R concept of Russell and Burch: Replace, Reduce, and Refine. Animal experiments are defined as all experimental procedures involving the use of animals in testing, research and education or to obtain tissues, organs, and other animal-derived products which may cause pain or distress to animals. ALTEX further publishes manuscripts on the bioethics of the complex relationship between humans and animals. Articles published in ALTEX must express a basic concern for the dignity of living creatures and the recognition of animals as our partners. All articles are judged according to stringent scientific standards. Manuscripts submitted to , ALTEX are evaluated by two reviewers. The evaluation takes into account the scientific merit of a manuscript and its contribution to animal welfare and the 3R principle. Please visit www.altex-edition.org for further information. The link beetween Research, Biology and Clinical practiceAnnales de Biologie Clinique reports on progress in knowledge, techniques and materials, but it is above all a pre-eminent space for providing information and exchanges of views beetween all clinical biologists. This new-look edition is closer to practicalities and is aimed at hospital and private biologists, researchers in biochemistry, bacteriology, hematology and virology, the pharmaceuticals industry, teachers and students.Annales de Biologie Clinique is the journal of the Société Française de Biologie Clinique. The online version of Annales de Biologie Clinique is available. All articles published since 1997 can now be accessed online. Recent articles are available by pay per view or by subscription while older ones have free access. .
One of the world's foremost in its field, Annals publishes fully refereed papers of international authorship that contribute to existing knowledge in all fields of clinical biochemistry, especially that pertaining to the understanding, diagnosis and treatment of human disease. It also publishes papers on immunology, genetics, biotechnology, haematology, computing and management where they have both biochemical and clinical relevance.
This journal provides complete coverage of the diagnostic and prognostic applications of immunohistochemistry (IHC), its contributions to the understanding of the biology of tumors and other lesions, and the technical aspects of setting up a laboratory and interpreting results. Each issue features original, peer-reviewed articles, discussions of difficult diagnostic cases, rapidly published notes on new or improved technologies, and a technical question-and-answer section. Comprehensive review articles discuss different classes of antibodies and markers and aspects of the basic science of IHC. Superb full-color illustrations are included in each issue. Welcome to the website of the Archives of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine (APLM). APLM is the monthly, international, peer-reviewed journal of the College of American Pathologists. The results of the PERQ/HCI 2011 Custom Study show that APLM is the most highly read journal/periodical title among US practicing pathologists.Published since 1926, APLM was voted in 2009 the only pathology journal among the top 100 most influential journals of the past 100 years by the Bio Medical and Life Sciences Division of the Special Libraries Association. Online access to the full-text and PDF files of APLM articles is free.We appreciate your interest in APLM and welcome your input regarding the journal and website.
Bioanalysis delivers essential information in concise, at-a-glance article formats. Key advances in the field are reported and analyzed by international experts, providing an authoritative but accessible forum for the modern bioanalyst. The content is uniquely targeted to those working on the analysis of drugs and metabolites in biological matrices. The articles have wide appeal to analytical chemists, mass spectroscopists, chromatographers, pharmacologists, clinical chemists, analytical toxicologists, and those involved with studies of drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, toxicity, bioequivalence and metabolomics.

Biomedical Engineering is a translation of the Russian journal Meditsinskaya Tekhnika. The Russian volume-year is published in English beginning in July.Biopreservation and Biobanking is the first journal to provide a unifying forum for researchers from academia, government, and industry in which rapid, authoritative, peer-reviewed communication of recent advances is provided in the fast-emerging field of biospecimen procurement, processing, preservation, and banking. The Journal publishes a diversity of articles focusing on current issues and problems related to the processing of macromolecules, cells, and tissues.
Biotechnic & Histochemistry (formerly Stain technology) is the official publication of the Biological Stain Commission. The journal is published bimonthly in one volume on behalf of the Biological Stain Commission. Biotechnic & Histochemistry is an interdisciplinary journal embracing all aspects of histochemistry and microtechnic in all areas of the biological sciences from botany to cell biology to medicine. Papers concerning topics as diverse as in situ hybridization, cytochemical probes, autoradiography, light and electron microscopy, tissue culture, image analysis, cytogenetics and automation or computerization of investigative procedures are appropriate for publication. Papers reporting innovative technical methods and/or their applications are considered for publication regardless of their length. Letters to the Editor and review articles concerning topics of special and current interest also are published. Read More: http://informahealthcare.com/page/bih/Description.
The objective of the journal is to publish novel information leading to a better understanding of biological mechanisms of human diseases, their prevention, diagnosis, and patient management. Reports of an applied clinical character are also welcome. Papers concerned with normal metabolic processes or with constituents of normal cells or body fluids, such as reports of experimental or clinical studies in animals, are only considered when they are clearly and directly relevant to human disease. Evaluation of commercial products have a low priority for publication, unless they are novel or represent a technological breakthrough. Studies dealing with effects of drugs and natural products and studies dealing with the redox status in various diseases are not within the journal's scope. Development and evaluation of novel analytical methodologies where applicable to diagnostic clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine, including point-of-care testing, and topics on laboratory management and informatics will also be considered.
