The Revista Brasileira de Plantas Medicinais (RBPM) was launched in October 1998 (v.1, n.1) as a biannual publication until 2003, and was published three times a year in 2004 and 2005. From 2006, it became a quarterly journal, publishing until August/2010 (v.12, n.3, 2010) 582 scientific papers, the majority of which are scientific articles, some reviews and a few preliminary notes. Since 2008, the Journal is also available at CAPES journals (www.periodicos.capes.gov.br) and at the portal of Summaries of Brazilian Journals, in the Multidisciplinary field (http://www.sumarios.org/ revista.asp?idrevista=271&idarea=9).The Revista Brasileira de Plantas Medicinais covers the great areas of multidisciplinary study on medicinal plants, including Plant Anatomy and Morphology; Bioassays; Biotechnology; Genetic Resource Conservation; Ecophysiology; Ethnobotany; Ethnopharmacology; Pharmacognosis; Pharmacology; Plant Physiology; Phytochemistry; Plant Science; Phytotherapy, Food Technology and use of medicinal plants in Veterinary Medicine.Its abbreviated title is Rev. bras. plantas med., which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes and bibliographical references and strips.

The Saudi Pharmaceutical Journal is published every three months by the Saudi Pharmaceutical Society, with the cooperation of the College of Pharmacy, King Saud University. The Journal accepts high quality articles that conform to its scope and editorial standards. The scope encompasses various disciplines of pharmaceutical sciences and related clinical subjects that are of interest to practicing pharmacists and other health care professionals. The journal will publish original research articles, review articles, short communications, case studies, letters to the editors and book reviews. Abstracts of meetings and symposia will also be considered for publication. All submitted papers are subject to an extensive review by the editorial board and by a panel of international referees.To minimize delays between manuscript submission, decision and publication, authors are requested to follow the "Instructions to authors" found elsewhere in this Journal. In the past decade research into skin pharmacology has developed dramatically with new and promising drugs and therapeutic concepts being introduced regularly. Recent examples include immunosuppressive topicals, and new strategies in the therapy of malignant melanoma and wound healing. New concepts have also been developed in traditional areas of skin therapy and skin care which have led to discussions of issues such as ‘cosmeceuticals’ in the United States, ‘quasi-drugs’ in Japan, and the 6th Amendment of the Cosmetic Regulation in the European Union. There are many open questions which reflect the importance of the subject and the need for a new international scientific forum where they can be discussed in extenso. Dermatologists, pharmaceutical chemists, pharmacologists, toxicologists, and others interested in the subject are invited to contribute to this exciting project and to submit their best research work for publication.

Steroids is an international journal devoted to original research on all aspects of steroids. The Journal of Antibiotics seeks to promote research on antibiotics and related types of medicinal substances. The journal will accept biochemical, chemical, microbiological and pharmacological studies. However, studies regarding human therapy do not fall under the journal's scope. Vaccines (ISSN 2076-393X) is an international, peer-reviewed open access journal focused on laboratory and clinical vaccine research, utilization and immunization.
