Experimental Eye Research

ISSN: 0014-4835

The primary goal of Experimental Eye Research is to publish original research papers on all aspects of experimental biology of the eye and ocular tissues that seek to define the mechanisms of normal function and/or disease. Studies of ocular tissues that encompass the disciplines of cell biology, developmental biology, genetics, molecular biology, physiology, biochemistry, biophysics, immunology or microbiology are most welcomed. Manuscripts that are purely clinical or in a surgical area of ophthalmology are not appropriate for submission to Experimental Eye Research and if received will be returned without review. Most manuscripts published are original articles describing new research findings. For review purposes the journal is divided into four sections: Aqueous Humor and Blood Flow; Cornea and Ocular Surface; Lens; and Retina and Choroid, each with their own section editors and a roster of Executive Editors that have expertise in these specialized areas. The Journal also publishes review articles, short communications, letters-to-the-editor, and methods papers. Full descriptions of each of these types of articles are detailed in the Guide for Authors.Research areas include:Production and circulation of ocular fluids and the dysfunction of these pathways underlying ocular diseaseAngiogenesis, neovascularization and regulation of blood flow in the eye in health and diseaseCell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and biophysics of the eye or eye tissueDevelopmental and regenerative biology of the eyeHuman and molecular genetics studies of inherited eye diseasesGene therapy and neuroprotection targeted at preventing inherited ocular diseasesNeural and general physiology of the visual process

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Magazine

ISSN: 1045-9243eISSN: 1558-4143

IEEE Antennas and Propagation Magazine actively solicits feature articles that describe engineering activities taking place in industry, government, and universities. All feature articles are subject to peer review. Emphasis is placed on providing the reader with a general understanding of either a particular subject or of the technical challenges being addressed by various organizations, as well as their capabilities to cope with these challenges. Articles presenting new results, review, tutorial, and historical articles are welcome, as are articles describing examples of good engineering. The technical field of interest of the Magazine is the same as the IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society, and includes the following: antennas, including analysis, design, development, measurement, and testing; radiation, propagation, and the interaction of electromagnetic waves with discrete and continuous media; and applications and systems pertinent to antennas, propagation, and sensing, such as applied optics, millimeter- and sub-millimeter-wave techniques, antenna signal processing and control, radio astronomy, and propagation and radiation aspects of terrestrial and space-based communication, including wireless, mobile, satellite, and telecommunications.

Journal of Human Rights

ISSN: 1475-4835eISSN: 1475-4843

In recent years, there has been an exponential growth of interest in the study and practice of human rights. The cultural discourse of human rights has become increasingly globalized and now serves as the basis for legal and normative frameworks and social relations in a variety of geographical, social, and cultural settings. In addition, new social organizations and forms of political action are grounded in the idea of human rights. Scholarship on key issues in human rights has also burgeoned and includes scholars from a wide range of perspectives and disciplines. The Journal of Human Rights serves as an arena for the public discussion and scholarly analysis of human rights, broadly conceived. It seeks to broaden the study of human rights by fostering the critical re-examination of existing approaches to human rights, as well as to develop new perspectives on the theory and practice of human rights. The journal provides the opportunity for the critical examination of the human rights community and of the different visions of human rights and different practical strategies which exist within that community. The editor welcomes papers from scholars and disciplines traditionally associated with the study of human rights, as well as papers from those in other disciplines or fields of inquiry which have traditionally been underrepresented in the field of human rights. The Journal of Human Rights is committed to theoretical and ideological diversity in the study of human rights. The editor welcomes ideas for special issues, symposia, and reviews from scholars and practitioners of human rights.Peer Review Policy:All articles in this journal, including review articles, have been subjected to an initial editorial screening and subsequent double-blind external peer review.

The New Educator

ISSN: 1547-688XeISSN: 1549-9243

The New Educator is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal published by  The School of Education of The City College of New York  ( https://www.ccny.cuny.edu/education ) and The Association of Teacher Educators (ATE) ( http://www.ate1.org/pubs/home.cfm ).  It is published Taylor & Francis/Routledge

Focusing on the knowledge created through practice and the challenges of building and sustaining professional community in the education of new educators, The New Educator serves as a forum on issues that teacher educators, teacher education programs, and school systems encounter in the preparation, recruitment, induction, retention, and ongoing support of educators new to the field.   Defining “educator” broadly to include classroom teachers, administrators, counselors, support staff, teacher educators, and those who educate outside of school settings, the journal is particularly interested in work that links theory with practice, is generated through practice, is useful and accessible to the field, and reflects the needs and perspectives of the diverse communities served by educational institutions in this new century.

The New Educator features research articles, essays, commentaries, reports, program descriptions, reflective narratives, humor, interviews, photos, and book and resource reviews.  Themes addressed in ongoing issues include:  Preparing educators for the 21st century - meeting the challenges; standards, assessment, and accountability for educators; responding to the challenges of diversity in our schools; lessons from effective classrooms in PreK-12 schools as well as teacher education programs; educating educators for democratic practice; leadership for learning; the first year of teaching; educating educators for diverse settings - after-school programs, museums, juvenile detention centers, etc.  Past issues have featured the work of Marilyn Cochran-Smith, Linda Darling-Hammond, Eleanor Duckworth, Joyce Epstein, John Goodlad, Maxine Greene, Martin Haberman, Asa Hilliard, Sonia Nieto, Lee Shulman, Arthur Weiss, and other well-known as well as emerging scholars.
