Irish Educational Studies is an international, refereed journal. It is the official journal of the Educational Studies Association of Ireland (ESAI) and is listed in the Social Science Citation Index™. The journal is open to papers on a range of topics relevant to education, drawing on the full spectrum of disciplines that feed into educational theory and practice, including anthropology, sociology, psychology, history, economics, philosophy, politics and curriculum studies. We welcome papers that draw on a range of research methodologies. The journal is especially open to papers that have a critical edge, making links between the local and global and influences on practice across all sectors of education - from early childhood education, primary and post-primary schooling, through to Higher Education. It has an international distribution and is read on six continents. Its reputation for quality is long established and standards are maintained by an internationally based editorial advisory board. Irish Geography has been published by the Geographical Society of Ireland since 1944. An early editorial decision was to concentrate on the geography of Ireland and this has been maintained ever since. This focus has been a source of strength to the journal and has been important in enhancing its international reputation. More recently, to reflect the changing context and increased importance of globalization and migration to Ireland, a decision was made to also allow material on the Irish diaspora and overseas networks to be included in the journal. Islets is the first international, peer-reviewed research journal that will publish manuscripts on all aspects of clinical and experimental research into the physiology and pathology of the Islets of Langerhans and related topics. We are interested in manuscripts that report new information or insights into any aspects of these micro organs.Every year nearly 2000 papers that directly (or indirectly) examine the Islets of Langerhans are published in over 50 different journals. It is now the time to create a forum dedicated to the critical understanding of the Islets of Langerhans. The goal is to foster communication and a rapid exchange of information through timely publication of important results using traditional (print) as well as electronic formats (online). Issues in Mental Health Nursing is a refereed journal designed to expand psychiatric and mental health nursing knowledge. It deals with new, innovative approaches to client care, in-depth analysis of current issues, and empirical research. Because clinical research is the primary vehicle for the development of nursing science, the journal presents data-based articles on nursing care provision to clients of all ages in a variety of community and institutional settings. Additionally, the journal publishes theoretical papers and manuscripts addressing mental health promotion, public policy concerns, and educational preparation of mental health nurses. Italian Culture, the official publication of the American Association for Italian Studies (AAIS), is an annual refereed journal published by Michigan State University Press. The Italian Journal of Zoology covers all aspects of basic, comparative, and applied protozoan and animal biology at molecular, cellular, tissue, organ, organismal, population, and community-ecosystem levels. Abstracts and Conference proceedings approved by the UZI Executive Committee are also featured in the journal on an ad-hoc basis.
