Driven by observations conducted with unprecedented experimental facilities and satellites, the last few years have brought a plethora of historic results at the high-energy end of the electromagnetic spectrum. These appeal to new theoretical efforts and multi-frequency investigations, which are altogether leading to a burst of new ideas, problems, and research directions.High-energy astrophysics, a research field that connects astronomy, cosmology and particle physics, will continue to expand in the next decades with an increasing rate, additionally boosted by the forthcoming improvements in experimental detection precision.The Journal of High Energy Astrophysics (JHEAp) is the first astrophysical journal that focuses on the study of highly energetic phenomena.Pivoting on this general topic, and in the belief that boundaries in astronomy are naturally fading, JHEAp seeks the most impacting and scientifically sound papers, those generally crossing specialization fields and attracting the interest of astronomers at any wavelength.The journal welcomes manuscripts on theoretical models, simulations, and observations of highly energetic astrophysical objects both in our Galaxy and beyond. Among those, black holes at all scales, neutron stars, pulsars and their nebula, binaries, novae and supernovae, their remnants, active galaxies, and clusters are just a few examples. The journal will consider research across the whole electromagnetic spectrum, as well as research using various messengers, such as gravitational waves or neutrinos. Effects of high-energy phenomena on cosmology and star-formation, results from dedicated surveys expanding the knowledge of extreme environments, and astrophysical implications of dark matter are also welcomed topics.The journal adopts the commonly used single blind peer review system, during which the reviewer names are kept anonymous while the author or collaboration name is disclosed to the reviewers. In addition, the journal will introduce the possibility for papers to be refereed in a double blind process, in order to ensure and promote quality. A dedicated reviewer pool, an active Editorial Board, a fast and traceable online submission procedure, and appropriate reviewer incentives will further ensure a rapid and strict peer reviewing process.JHEAp has no page charges and has a delayed open access model. All color figures are free for the online version and a selection of printed color figures costs may be waived at the Editor's discretion. JHEAp will be indexed in all major systems such as Scopus and the SAO/NASA Astrophysics Data System (ADS) .

Journal of Hospitality and Tourism Management is the official journal of CAUTHE (Council for Australasian University Tourism and Hospitality Education Inc.) Purely descriptive accounts are not considered suitable.(3) The Practice Papers section encourages shorter contributions (around 3,000 words) from practicing teachers and others involved in the delivery of education and training including; employers, educational managers, staff developers and library and careers guidance staff. In particular, it encourages reflection on, and critical review of good (and bad) practice with a view to sharing experiences and promoting a "learning profession".(4) The Perspectives section offers a platform (around 1,000-2,000 words) for contributors to make an initial mapping of the issues surrounding a recent development in Hospitality, Leisure, Sport and Tourism education. As such it can act as an early stimulant for further research.(5) Comments and Rejoinders offers an opportunity for readers to comment on articles published in previous editions of the journal.(6) Research Notes and Reports, which are shorter report-style pieces and commentaries, will also be considered for publication.(7) Education Resource Reviews offer provide critiques of resources related to student learning or effective teaching. A wide range of resources may be reviewed, including textbooks, websites, CD-ROMs, videos, databases and articles.

The Journal of Human Evolution concentrates on publishing the highest quality papers covering all aspects of human evolution. The central focus is aimed jointly at palaeoanthropological work, covering human and primate fossils, and at comparative studies of living species, including both morphological and molecular evidence. These include descriptions of new discoveries, interpretative analyses of new and previously described material, and assessments of the phylogeny and palaeobiology of primate species.In addition to original research papers, space is allocated for the rapid publication of short communications on new discoveries, such as exciting new fossils, or on matters of topical interest, such as reports on meetings. The journal welcomes papers in all topics of hydraulics, in particular articles on sustainable water management, water-health issues, environmental hydraulics, eco-hydraulics, coastal engineering and integration of hydraulics with hydrology. Inter-disciplinary problems and linkage of theory to field application are particularly encouraged. Solutions of water problems in the form of prediction models, flow simulations, engineering systems, monitoring, management strategies covering basic scientific investigations and/or experimental studies of flow behaviour, hydrodynamics, fate and transport of aquatic constituents, and related biological and chemical processes are all within the scope of the Journal.

The unique features of the Asia-Pacific region in terms of population density, economic growth, landscape, tradition and history require special treatment of water problems in the region. Each research article in the journal will contain a section describing actual or potential applications to the Asia-Pacific region. This will provide an effective forum for technical exchanges, joint projects, and technology transfer.

In addition to research articles, the journal also publishes review papers, invited papers, book reviews and technical communications. Special issues containing selected papers presented at the biennial IAHR-APD Congresses, in particular the IAHR-APD award papers, will be a regular feature of the journal.

Research articles: should be original contributions reporting a complete research work leading to the understanding and/or application of hydraulic knowledge based on theoretical, experimental, computational and/or other approaches. Papers combining theory and experiments or combining basic and applied research are strongly welcome.

Review papers: cover all important issues in hydraulics and water problems, and their application.

Technical communications: report large-scale or innovative hydraulic or water-related projects/issues in the Asia-Pacific region. Communications discussing scientific and technical views on particular issues and problems are also encouraged.

Invited papers: provide a forum for experienced researchers to share their experience and expertise to the Asia-Pacific forum.

The Journal of Hydrology publishes original research papers and comprehensive reviews in all the subfields of the hydrological sciences including water based management and policy issues that impact on economics and society. These comprise, but are not limited to the physical, chemical, biogeochemical, stochastic and systems aspects of surface and groundwater hydrology, hydrometeorology and hydrogeology.
