The official journal of the International Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ISPN) was founded in 1972 as Child's Brain. As of 1 January 1985, the Society changed publishers. The new official journal, Child's Nervous System has been expanded to encompass all aspects of the pediatric neurosciences: development and growth, degenerative disorders, hereditary diseases, neurology, neurosurgery, neurooncology, neurophysiology, and trauma. Original manuscripts are given priority for publication; the same applies to brief communications. Individual case reports are welcome but, if accepted for publication, the 'lag-time' before appearance in print may well exceed 7 months from the time the final manuscript is received by the appropriate geographic editor until publication. However, faster publication is possible for individual case reports that might generate discussion (Case for discussion) or might provide an update on the status quo for a rare subject (Case-based update). Revista de la Sociedad Chilena de Ortopedia y Traumatología has been the official publication of the Chilean Society for Orthopaedic Surgery and Traumatology since 1953. The contents of the journal give priority to original articles in Spanish on the specialization, which are subject to a rigorous review procedure. It also publishes one or two case histories in each issue which are of special interest to its readers, as they usually contain exceptional cases with difficult diagnoses or therapy. The sections on Updates, Reviews and Basic Research works are of great interest to specialists, thanks to a careful selection of subjects. All articles are open access and include a summary in English.

Revista Chilena de Ortopedia y Traumatología es el Órgano Oficial de la Sociedad Chilena de Cirugía Ortopédica y Traumatología desde 1953. En el contenido de la revista se da prioridad a la publicación de artículos originales en español sobre la especialidad que pasan por un estricto proceso de revisión. Se publican además uno o dos casos clínicos por número que son de gran interés para los lectores, ya que suelen exponer casos excepcionales, de dificultad diagnóstica o terapéutica. Las secciones de Actualización, Revisiones y Trabajos de Investigación básica tienen gran interés para los especialistas, gracias a una cuidadosa selección de los temas. Todos los artículos son de acceso abierto y cuentan con un resumen en inglés.

Chinese Journal of Traumatology is sponsored and published by the Traumatology branch of Chinese Medical Association. Being a peer-reviewed medical journal, it began publishing in 1998 and is the sole English-language journal concerning wounds and injuries in China. With emphasis on the latest achievements and progress made in China, featured in the combination of Chinese traditional and Western medicine, the Journal focuses on all aspects of trauma care and accident surgery among all sources and countries. The scope of the journal covers actually all aspects of wounds and injuries, including brain injuries, chest and abdomen injuries, bone fractures, fire-arm injuries, burns, traffic accident injuries, wound ballistics, impact injuries, etc. The Journal functions as a window into China's traumatic medicine, and serves as a bridge for international academic exchanges. The goal of the Journal is to gear its contents for the reference of the medical workers of the traumatological field and engage in the academic exchanges between the colleagues at home and abroad of the latest achievements, techniques and experience both on basic research and clinical application in traumatology. The sources of the articles are abundant and the contributors are from China and abroad as well. CJT was included by Chemical Abstracts (USA), by Medline (USA) in 2001, by Excerpta Medica (Holland) in 2003, by Journal Abstracts (Russia) in 2005. The subscribers are nearly from every province of China as well as some foreign countries.The editor in chief, also member of Chinese Academy of Engineering, chairman of Chinese Society of Traumatology, Prof. Zheng-guo Wang has been engaged in trauma for over 40 years and is acknowledged as the preeminent specialist with outstanding academic achievements on trauma and accident surgery in China. Official organ of the French, Belgian and Swiss Societies for Surgery of the Hand, indexed in the main international databases, “Chirurgie de la main” publishes original articles, reviews of the literature, technical notes, clinical cases in French and in English. Initially platform of French-speaking hand surgeons, it turns more and more to English for a better circulation of the ideas of its authors. The journal also includes a biannual supplement, the monograph of the French Society for Surgery of the Hand, in which are presented the complete developments in the field of surgery of the hand, the peripheral nerves and the upper limb. Initialement plate-forme d'expression francophone de la spécialitéla revue s’oriente désormais principalement vers l’anglais pour devenir une référence scientifique et de formation de la spécialité en France et en Europe. Avec 6 publications par an, la revue comprend également un supplément biannuel, la monographie du GEM, oú sont présentées des mises au point complètes dans les domaines de la chirurgie de la main, des nerfs périphériques et du membre supérieur.

Cirugía Cardiovascular es el órgano oficial de la Sociedad Española de Cirugía Torácica y Cardiovascular (SECTCV) y actúa como herramienta de expresión de todos los cirujanos torácicos y cardiovasculares de habla hispana. La misión de la Sociedad Española de Cirugía Torácica y Cardiovascular es asegurar la calidad en el ejercicio de las cirugías torácica y cardiovascular mediante la formación, la promoción de la investigación, el desarrollo y difusión de estándares y guías, y su influencia sobre las políticas sanitarias a nivel nacional.

Cirugía Española, es el Órgano Oficial de la Asociación Española de Cirujanos, sociedad científica que engloba a la mayoría de cirujanos generales españoles y de diferentes subespecialidades de la cirugía.
La revista es el mejor exponente del desarrollo técnico y conceptual de la cirugía española, de tal manera, que en sus páginas se dedica una creciente atención a los aspectos biológicos y clínicos de la patología quirúrgica, trascendiendo así al acto operatorio que en constituía el centro de atención principal de esta área de la medicina.

Cirugía Española cuenta desde 2008 con una versión en inglés.

La revista Cirugía y Cirujanos es el órgano de difusión científica de la Academia Mexicana de Cirugía, institución fundada en 1933, órgano consultivo del Gobierno Federal en materia de salud y política social y asesor del Consejo de Salubridad General de México.
