Human Movement Science provides a forum for presenting, and bringing together, psychological, neurophysiological and biomechanical/biophysical research on human movement. Animal studies, insofar as their significance to human movement is made clear, are equally acceptable. The nature of the research to be reported may vary from fundamental studies of motor control and learning, including the perceptual support of movement, to more applied studies in the fields of, for example, sport, dance and rehabilitation, with the proviso that also the latter studies have a distinct theoretical bearing.Human Movement Science contains: (a) reports of empirical work on human movement; (b) theoretical (overview) articles on human movement, including its modelling; (c) letters to the editor containing a critical commentary on a published paper. In addition to regular issues, special issues addressing a single theme will be published. The International Journal of Orthopaedic and Trauma Nursing is a peer-reviewed journal that seeks to promote the development and exchange of specialist knowledge within orthopaedic and trauma practice. Although sport nutrition represents a distinct field of academic and applied work, it receives input from—and makes contributions to—such fields as nutrition, physiology, biochemistry, psychology, clinical medicine, and the sport and exercise sciences. Since its inception, the International Journal of Sport Nutrition provided a forum for those studying sport nutrition from a variety of perspectives. At the same time, exercise biochemists have been studying the metabolic responses and adaptations to physical activity, creating an overlap between the two areas of study. Recognizing the maturity and interdependence of these two scientific disciplines, the International Journal of Sport Nutrition and Exercise Metabolism (IJSNEM) was created. The journal is designed to provide a forum for the publication of both scholarly and applied work relating to the nutritional, biochemical, and molecular aspects of exercise science.IJSNEM publishes original scientific investigations and scholarly reviews offering new insights into sport nutrition and exercise metabolism, as well as articles focusing on the application of the principles of biochemistry, physiology, and nutrition to sport and exercise. Original research with human subjects will be emphasized, although relevant research with experimental animals may be submitted. Case studies that demonstrate systematic, rather than casual, observation made with appropriate instrumentation, and articles with clinical application will be included. The International Journal of Sports Medicine (IJSM) provides a forum for the publication of papers dealing with both basic and applied information that advance the field of sports medicine and exercise science, and offer a better understanding of biomedicine.

The International Journal of Sports Physiology and Performance (IJSPP) is an international peer-reviewed journal that examines practical and research aspects of sports physiology and sports performance. The editorial mission of IJSPP is to advance the knowledge of sport and exercise physiologists, sport scientists, sport physicians, and sport-performance researchers. The journal promotes the publication of research in sport physiology and related disciplines that has direct practical application to enhancing sport performance, preventing decrements in performance, or enhancing recovery of athletes. The journal publishes original research reports, invited reviews, commentaries, technical reports, case studies, and an editorial section. The intended breadth of IJSPP includes team sports, individual sports, performance aspects of environmental physiology, applied sports nutrition, strength and conditioning, biomedical science, and applications of sport technology. Controlled experimental and observational research of a comprehensive or systematic nature is welcome, provided that appropriate standards of scientific methodology and analysis are met. International Orthopaedics, the Official Journal of the Société Internationale de Chirurgie Orthopédique et de Traumatologie (SICOT) http://www.sicot.org/, publishes original papers from all over the world. The Journal of Applied Biomechanics (JAB), formerly known as the International Journal of Sport Biomechanics, accepts articles that pertain to the applied aspects of human biomechanics in sport, exercise, and rehabilitation. Studies of importance in theory development are also considered. Research examining the effect and control of forces that act on and are produced by the human body is encouraged. Similarly, studies related to modeling and human movement simulation and to the effects of internal and external forces on body structures during skill development and rehabilitation are appropriate for JAB. Equal consideration will be given to studies involving participants of all levels of ability or disability.The Journal of Applied Biomechanics publishes original research reports, invited review papers, and “target” articles on selected current issues in the field. It also contains book reviews, technical notes, an editorial section, and other special features. Individuals are invited to submit manuscripts to any of the journal’s sections. Methodologies used in original research must meet currently accepted scientific protocol.
