Intellectual History Review is the journal of the International Society for Intellectual History. The journal is a forum for the Anglo-American and European intellectual history community, promoting the work and aims of the ISIH as well as the study of intellectual history more generally. As well as articles, IHR regularly publishes literature surveys, and essay reviews of current work in intellectual history and related historical areas. The journal will construe 'intellectual' in the most inclusive and comprehensive sense, focusing primarily on intellectual history from the sixteenth century to the present. It publishes papers addressing the history of philosophy, religion, science, anthropology, psychology and the social sciences and other relevant intellectual formations. Articles which emphasise the grounding of intellectual work in social, cultural and historical context will be encouraged. The journal will also encourage historical reflection on the formation and development of intellectual history as a discipline and publish studies which review the work and achievements of individual intellectual historians. It would also publish articles discussing methodological issues, historiographical reflections on the relationship between intellectual history and cognate or competing historical perspectives such as cultural history, the history of ideas and the history of philosophy. Since its inception in 1912, Isis has featured scholarly articles, research notes and commentary on the history of science, medicine, and technology, and their cultural influences. Review essays and book reviews on new publications in the field are also included. The Journal for General Philosophy of Science is a forum for the discussion of a variety of attitudes concerning the philosophy of science. It has as its subject matter the philosophical, especially methodological, ontological, epistemological, anthropological, and ethical foundations of the individual sciences. Particular emphasis is laid on bringing both the natural, the cultural, and the technical sciences into a philosophical context, within which the historical presuppositions and conditions of the current problems of the philosophy of science are also included in the discussion.

The Journal for General Philosophy of Science has been successful in its attempt to serve as a forum that bridges the gap between the different sciences, especially the natural, cultural, and social sciences. One of its purposes is to discuss and contrast the common as well as the different specific methodological and philosophical foundations of the individual sciences, taking into account all currently relevant positions of the philosophy of science.

In recent years considerable insight has been gained into the problems of current philosophy of science by considering the historical dimension of the sciences. This is why more intensive efforts will be made in the future towards the integration of historical and systematic considerations.

The Journal of Anesthesia History (ISSN 2352-4529) is an international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to advancing the study of anesthesia history and related disciplines. The Journal addresses anesthesia history from antiquity to the present. Its wide scope includes the history of perioperative care, pain medicine, critical care medicine, physician and nurse practices of anesthesia, equipment, drugs, and prominent individuals. The Journal serves a diverse audience of physicians, nurses, dentists, clinicians, historians, educators, researchers and academicians.

This unique publication focuses on linguistic issues as they pertain to East Asian languages. It bridges the gap between traditional description and current theoretical research and encourages research that allows these languages to play a significant role in shaping general linguistic theory. The Journal of East Asian Linguistics (JEAL) features Theoretically oriented work on any aspect of the syntax, semantics, pragmatics, phonology, and morphology of an East Asian language. Comparative work among East Asian languages and/or between an East Asian language and any other languages that contributes to the parametric theory of universal grammar. Formal analysis of any aspect of the grammar at any historical stage of a language or the historical development of any language providing it has a bearing on East Asian languages. Interdisciplinary contributions from psycholinguistics, neurolinguistics, and computational linguistics that have a particular bearing on the study of East Asian languages.

The Journal of Econometrics is designed to serve as an outlet for important new research in both theoretical and applied econometrics. The scope of the Journal includes papers dealing with estimation and other methodological aspects of the application of statistical inference to economic data, as well as papers dealing with the application of econometric techniques to substantive areas of economics. Econometric research in the traditional divisions of the discipline or in the newly developing areas of social experimentation are decidedly within the range of the Journal's interests.Annals of Econometrics form a supplement to the Journal of Econometrics. The Journal of the History of Biology is devoted to the history of the biological sciences, with additional interest and concern in philosophical and social issues confronting biology. While all historical epochs are touched upon, the journal pays particular attention to developments during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. The journal serves both the working biologist who needs a full understanding to the historical and philosophical bases of the field and the historian of biology interested in following developments in the biological sciences.

The Journal of the History of the Neurosciences assists the formation of a basis of historical background knowledge complementary to current understanding of the neurosciences. Contributions to the history of development in neurology over recent decades will be of assistance to neurologists working in the field. The Journal will cover all aspects of modern neurology as well as roots of the neurosciences in the more distant past. Where they contain original information or novel comment, historical and biographical accounts of individuals and institutions in the neurosciences will be accepted for publication. The history of ideas, the evolution of society and medicine, and the connection between neurosciences and the discipline of philosophy will also be open for discussion in the Journal. Philosophy of history is a rapidly expanding area. There is growing interest today in: what constitutes knowledge of the past, the ontology of past events, the relationship of language to the past, and the nature of representations of the past. These interests are distinct from – although connected with – contemporary epistemology, philosophy of science, metaphysics, philosophy of language, and aesthetics. Hence we need a distinct venue in which philosophers can explore these issues. Journal of the Philosophy of History provides such a venue.

Now in its third decade of publication, the Kennedy Institute of Ethics Journal (KIEJ) is an interdisciplinary quarterly journal of the Joseph and Rose Kennedy Institute of Ethics at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. It publishes philosophically rigorous and empirically informed articles in all areas of bioethics (broadly construed) and on related issues in practical ethics. The KIEJ has recently focused on publishing papers that explore ethical and social issues in science practice, as well as philosophical approaches to health, environmental, and science policy, especially those which situate philosophical and ethical issues in a global context.
