This peer reviewed, highly specialized journal covers forest pathological problems occurring in any part of the world. Research and review articles, short communications and book reviews are addressed to the professional, working with forest tree diseases caused by fungi, bacteria, nematodes, viruses, and phytoplasms; their biology, morphology, and pathology; disorders arising from genetic anomalies and physical or chemical factors in the environment. Articles are published in English. Fields of interest: Forest pathology, effects of air pollution and adverse environmental conditions on trees and forest ecosystems.

Forest Policy and Economics has grown into a well-established and recognized academic journal, which publishes peer-reviewed political and economic research relating to forests and forest-related industries, which are of a high scientific standard. It also welcomes contributions from other social science and humanities perspectives, which make a clear theoretical/conceptual and methodological contribution to existing international literatures. These may include, but are not limited to, planning, sociology, anthropology, history, jurisprudence, and psychology research on forests.The journal invites high quality, original submissions of research and review manuscripts from around the globe as well as proposals for special issues, which resulted from intense previous scientific exchange. Forestry publishes high quality articles and reviews on all aspects of research, practice and policy that promote the sustainable development of forests, woodlands and trees. In considering suitability for publication attention is given to both the originality of contributions and their practical application. Preference is usually given to work undertaken in the temperate and/or boreal zones; submissions from the tropics will be considered if they are relevant to the aim of the Journal.Special Issues - each year one edition of Forestry will be a Special Issue and will focus on one subject in detail; this will usually be by publication of the proceedings of an international meeting.This Prize is awarded annually to the author(s) of the best paper published in Forestry on the subject of silviculture, as defined below, during the preceding three years. It can also be awarded to an individual or team for a consistently high standard of papers over a period of five to ten years. In making the award preference is given to papers describing the results of original research in silviculture and to original contributions to the theory and practice of silviculture. For purposes of the award 'silviculture' is defined as the theory and practice of controlling the establishment, composition and growth of forests and shall include the relationship of tree growth to environmental and economic factors and the effects on tree growth of other plants, micro-organisms, insects, birds and other animals.

Forests (ISSN 1999-4907) is an international and cross-disciplinary scholarly journal of forestry and forest ecology. It publishes research papers, short communications and review papers. There is no restriction on the length of the papers. Our aim is to encourage scientists to publish their experimental and theoretical research in as much detail as possible. Full experimental and/or methodical details must be provided for research articles. There are, in addition, unique features of this journal: computed data or files regarding the full details of the experimental procedure, if unable to be published in a normal way, can be deposited as supplementary material we also accept manuscripts communicating to a broader audience with regard to research projects financed with public funds manuscripts regarding research proposals and research ideas are welcomed

The Journal publishes STANDARD RESEARCH PAPERS on all aspects of the ecology of inland waters, including rivers and lakes, connected ground waters, flood plains and other wetlands. We accept studies of micro-organisms, algae, macrophytes, invertebrates, fish and other vertebrates, as well as those concerning whole ecosystems and related physical and chemical aspects of the environment. Studies may focus at any level in the ecological hierarchy from physiological ecology and animal behaviour, through population dynamics and evolutionary genetics, to community interactions and ecosystem functioning. They may also be at any scale, from microhabitat to landscape or biogeography. Preference is given to research, whether meta-analytical, experimental, theoretical or descriptive, that tests clearly stated hypotheses.
