The main focus of Advances in Gerontology are biomedical aspects of aging. The journal also publishes original articles and reviews on progress in the following research areas: demography of aging: molecular and physiological mechanisms of aging, clinical gerontology and geriatrics, prevention of premature aging, medico-social aspects of gerontology, behavior and psychology of the elderly. The journal was founded in 1997.

Advances in Health Sciences Education is a forum for scholarly and state-of-the art research into all aspects of health sciences education. It will publish empirical studies as well as discussions of theoretical issues and practical implications. The thematic volumes are addressed to scientists, whether at universities or in industry, who wish to keep abreast of the important advances in the covered topics. Advances in Polymer Science enjoys a longstanding tradition and good reputation in its community. Each volume is dedicated to a current topic, and each review critically surveys one aspect of that topic, to place it within the context of the volume.
