The Electricity Journal

ISSN: 1040-6190eISSN: 1873-6874

The Electricity Journal is the leading policy journal for the U.S. electric power industry. The Journal began publishing in July 1988. It was created because its founding editor and publisher, Robert Marritz, then a utility lawyer in private practice, was convinced that the electricity industry was moving on a fundamentally different track from the one it had traveled for most of the 20th century. He felt that electric utilities had lost the bedrock confidence of the public, largely as a result of their unsuccessful gamble with nuclear power. During this time, a small but growing industry of alternative suppliers generating power from natural gas-fired co-generation and renewable energy plants (wind power, biomass, hydro and solar), spurred by Congress's passage in 1978 of the Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act, were finding markets for their power. These alternative suppliers formed the vanguard of what has now proved to be a highly competitive business: selling power in large quantities at the wholesale level (for resale to end users). The Journal is now the principal print venue for those who are, with their ideas, forging the new shape and design of the electricity/energy industry. The component pieces of the Journal; articles, a news summary, features, letters and editorials; comprise a print version of a town hall meeting for the most thoughtful and influential people in the business:• Utility and independent power executives;• Federal and state regulators;• Consultants and lawyers;• Academics specializing in the field; and• Sophisticated customer and environmental representatives.Their continuing discussions about such matters as transmission access and pricing, energy trading, mergers and de-mergers, market power, the changing role of regulation, corporate strategy, and overseas investment are covered more cogently in the pages of The Electricity Journal than in any other print medium.Addresses to contact for other information. The European Journal of Psychiatry

ISSN: 0213-6163eISSN: 2340-4469

The European Journal of Psychiatry is a quarterly publication founded in 1986 and directed by Professor A. Seva until his death in 2004. It was originally intended to report "the scientific activity of European psychiatrists" and "to bring about a greater degree of communication" among them. However, "since scientific knowledge has no geographical or cultural boundaries, is open to contributions from all over the world". These principles are maintained in the new stage of the journal, now expanded with the help of an American editor. The journal also keeps to the original foundations of "an eclectic orientation in its scientific approach freed largely from ideological burdens". It invites contributions in areas related to biological, psychological and social sciences, and the aim is to communicate the research in the causes, consequences, treatment and care of all forms of mental disorder. It will be of interest to psychiatrists, psychologists, social scientists, nurses and others engaged in mental health professions, together with basic neurobiological researchers. Topics covered will include epidemiology of mental disorders, clinical aetiological research, post mortem pathological and neurochemical studies, treatment trials and evaluation of services. The over-riding criteria for publication are originality, a high scientific quality and interest to a wide audience of those concerned with all aspects of mental illness. All original papers will be refereed by independent experts in the field. Review articles and monographs designed to bring the reader up to date with research in the area will be a feature of the journal. There is a Book Review section and correspondence to the editor will be considered for publication. The articles are published in English, but a Spanish language edition was initiated in 2002. The journal is distributed to Faculties of Medicine, Departments of Psychiatry and Documentation Centres all over the world. The abbreviated title is Eur. J. Psychiat. and it should be used in bibliography.

The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics

ISSN: 0021-9614eISSN: 1096-3626

The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics exists primarily for dissemination of significant new knowledge in experimental equilibrium thermodynamics and transport properties of chemical systems. The defining attributes of The Journal are the quality and relevance of the papers published. The Journal publishes work relating to gases, liquids, solids, polymers, mixtures, solutions and interfaces. Studies on systems with variability, such as biological or bio-based materials, gas hydrates, among others, will also be considered provided these are well characterized and reproducible where possible. Experimental methods should be described in sufficient detail to allow critical assessment of the accuracy claimed.Authors are encouraged to provide physical or chemical interpretations of the results. Articles can contain modelling sections providing representations of data or molecular insights into the properties or transformations studied. Theoretical papers on chemical thermodynamics using molecular theory or modelling are also considered. The Journal welcomes review articles in the field of chemical thermodynamics but prospective authors should first consult one of the Editors concerning the suitability of the proposed review.Contributions of a routine nature or reporting on uncharacterised materials are not accepted. We strongly encourage all authors to use EES at the following URL when submitting papers to The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics.EES can be accessed at: http://ees.elsevier.com/jct(First time users will need to register)JCT Style guidePlease consult the Guide for Authors for further details on the requirements for submitting your paper to The Journal of Chemical Thermodynamics. The Journal of Economic Asymmetries

ISSN: 1703-4949eISSN: 2352-8397

The journal aims to publish scholarly articles on economic, financial, technological and legal asymmetries within and among markets in an increasingly globalized world.Asymmetries are broadly interpreted as economic relationships between trading partners with unequal market power and also in the narrow technical sense of dissimilar information between trading agents.Asymmetries also may arise in cases of economic, financial or currency crises. The wide range of dissimilar policy recommendations in such cases may also reflect asymmetric policy responses.Closely related to international economic asymmetries, one may find economic, legal and technological conditions differing from one economy to another because of the size of countries, their institutions and their history. Acknowledging and investigating such differences is also a concern of the journal. The recent global financial crisis has created numerous economic asymmetries. Topics of interest include: sovereign debt, banking fragility, corporate deleveraging, asymmetries in macro-prudential regulation between countries with high and low developed financial markets, persistent high unemployment, challenges in the conduct of appropriate monetary and fiscal policies, national versus supranational regulatory systems, consequences of the Euro-zone financial crisis, the future of the euro, global monetary and fiscal stability, strategies to stop the immense increases in fiscal deficits and to regain fiscal stability, regulatory systems limiting world-wide contagion effects, regulatory measures to increase the soundness of the banks' balance sheets and to supervise financial transactions between globalised banks, multiple equilibria in financial markets, wealth volatility, the behavior of commodity markets and changes in leading currency markets. Ethical, behavioral and political dimensions of crises are also included.Volumes 1 through 9 are available on line at http://www.apforum.org/JEA.htm
