Dirigida a estudiantes y docentes de la Facultad de Medicina de la Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, la revista Medicina Universitaria busca fomentar el escrito médico-científico y con ello apoyar la investigación y la creatividad en la medicina. La revista pretende apoyar a las ciencias medicobiológicas relacionadas con la salud y tener un espacio para la historia, la filosofía y la ética. Se fomenta el escrito médico sin relación con la ciencia: anécdotas, historias y relatos de médicos y pacientes.

Considering that insights in primary and secondary prevention of mental disorders are becoming ever increasingly important in health care, economics and health political aspects, Mental Health & Prevention serves as a peer reviewed and multidisciplinary communication platform, covering all aspects of mental health and its preservation. Mental Health & Prevention publishes reviews, original research and other papers related to research on prevention to support the psychological development of human beings from early childhood across the life span until the old age. The journal focuses on preventive strategies of mental disorders in childhood and adolescence, antisocial and violent behavior, drug addiction, mood or stress-related disorders, eating- and sleep disorders, psychoses and schizophrenia, and dementia.Within its broad scope the journal also welcomes articles from other subject fields like social, occupational and somatic medicine, epidemiology and health service research.

Mental Health and Physical Activity is an international forum for scholarly reports on any aspect of relevance to advancing our understanding of the relationship between mental health and physical activity. Manuscripts will be considered for publication which deal with high quality research, comprehensive research reviews, and critical reflection of applied or research issues. The journal is open to the use of diverse methodological approaches. Aims and Scope:Metabolic Engineering (MBE) is devoted to the publication of original research papers on the directed modulation of metabolic pathways for metabolite over production or the improvement of cellular properties. Papers describing native pathway engineering and synthesis of heterologous pathways for converting microorganisms into microbial cell factories are also welcome.Experimental, computational, and modelling approaches for the elucidation of metabolic pathways and their manipulation by genetic, media, or other environmental means are presented. Efficient probing of metabolic pathways requires the application of appropriate methods from molecular biology and biochemistry, along with modeling and data analysis techniques from engineering. MBE provides a forum for communicating such interdisciplinary research, as well as relevant results in the constituent areas of biochemistry, molecular biology, applied microbiology, cellular physiology, cellular nutrition in health and disease, and biochemical engineering.Types of papers:Original Research Papers, Review Papers.

Metabolic Engineering Communications is devoted to publishing original research in the areas of metabolic engineering, synthetic biology, computational biology and systems biology for problems related to metabolism and the engineering of metabolism for the production of fuels, chemicals, and pharmaceuticals.The journal will carry articles on the design, construction, and analysis of biological systems ranging from pathway components to biological complexes and genomes (including genomic, analytical and bioinformatics methods) in suitable host cells to allow them to produce novel compounds of industrial and medical interest. Demonstrations of regulatory designs and synthetic circuits that alter the performance of biochemical pathways and cellular processes will also be presented. Metabolic Engineering Communications complements the full journal through the publication of articles that are shorter, or describe key elements of larger metabolic engineering efforts, than those published in the full journal while similarly impacting the development of the field.
