The International Journal of Development Issues (IJDI) publishes scholarly research on important development issues, with a particular focus on development dynamism and a leaning towards inter-disciplinary research.
The journal publishes results of original research on both basic and clinical aspects of the developing nervous system, ranging from simpler invertebrate systems and in vitro neural models to models of regeneration, chronic neurological diseases and aging. Papers concerned with both in vitro and in vivo studies are invited for editorial consideration. The journal will also publish original articles, editorials, reviews and communications from the International Society for Developmental Neuroscience covering all the latest developments in the field. Its main aims will be to facilitate the transfer of basic information to clinical applications and to promote an understanding of the fundamental mechanisms of neural growth, development and pathology. Those interested in joining the International Society for Developmental Neuroscience should write to Professor Stefano Stifani, Secretary-General of the ISDN, at email: stefano.stifani@mcgill.ca For further information on the ISDN, please visit http://www.developmental-neuroscience.org
International Journal of Differential Equations is a peer-reviewed, open access journal that publishes original research articles as well as review articles in all areas of differential equations.
Digital Earth is a virtual representation of the planet, encompassing all its systems and forms, including human societies, manifested as a multi-dimensional, multi-scale, multi-temporal, and multi-layer information facility. The Digital Earth vision encompasses the vast array of technologies, information frameworks, organizational standards, along with applications across a spectrum of disciplines, and many educational and grassroots operational needs.Digital Earth is a global initiative aimed at harnessing the world's data and information resources to develop a virtual 3-D model of the Earth in order to monitor, measure, and forecast natural and human activity on the planet. The International Journal of Digital Earth is a response to this initiative. This international, peer-reviewed research journal will focus on knowledge-based solutions to build and advance applications to improve human conditions, protect ecological services and support future sustainable development for environmental, social, and economic conditions.International Journal of Digital Earth is concerned with the science and technology of Digital Earth and its applications in all major disciplines. The journal has a wide range of interest, but the principal topics are: Digital Earth Framework, Digital Earth Applications, Digital Earth Architecture and Standards, Digital Earth and Earth Systems, Geoinformatics, Geo-spatial Science, Mobile Mapping Systems, Visualization and Numerical Simulation, Visible and Microwave Earth Observation, Data Fusion and Integration Algorithm, Data Mining and Artificial Intelligence, Data Processing, Earth System and Global Databases, Remote Sensing - GIS 8211; GPS, Global Environmental Change and Discrete Global Grids. The journal contains primary research papers on basic science, techniques and applications, review articles, short technical notes and a section of technical Letters containing material that merits fast publication.Thoughts on International Journal of Digital Earth8220;We clearly see the broad benefits from the publication of the International Journal of Digital Earth. This is an exciting area for innovations and research. I hope that this Journal will become the premier source of technical and scientific developments for the Digital Earth community.8221; - Vincent Tao, Director, Microsoft Virtual Earth and Local Search Business Unit 8220;Digital Earth is a critical and most challenging initiative. This journal successfully threads together the multifarious elements necessary for establishing the framework of the next big-science.8221; - Richard Simpson, University of Auckland, New Zealand"This is a wonderful new journal that simultaneously reaches out to both the technology communities and the sustainability communities.8221; - Peter Woodgate, CEO, Cooperative Research Centre for Spatial Information, Australia"How wonderful it is to see former U.S. Vice President Al Gore's digital earth vision is reflected by such a high quality international scientific journal." - Dr. Gabor Remetey-F252;l246;pp, Secretary General, Hungarian Association for Geo-information International Journal of Digital Earth is an official journal of the International Society for Digital Earth (ISDE).
