The Journal of Nanophotonics (JNP) is an electronic journal focusing on the fabrication and application of nanostructures that facilitate the generation, propagation, manipulation, and detection of light from the infrared to the ultraviolet regimes. The scope extends to theory, modeling and simulation, experimentation, instrumentation, and application. Nanoparticles and nanoparticulate composite materials Quantum dots and other low-dimensional nanostructures Nanotubes, nanowires, and nanofibers Nanowaveguides and nanoantennas Sculptured thin films and nanostructured photonic crystals Quantum optics and spintronics Nanoscale optical electronics Surface plasmons and nanoplasmonics Ultrashort pulse propagation Light-harvesting materials and devices Nanophotonic detectors Near-field optics Optical manipulation techniques, spectroscopies, and scattering techniques Molecular self-assembly, and other nanofabrication techniques Nanobiophotonics Nanophotonic concepts and systems that facilitate continued integration of various optical and/or electronic functions Dynamically tunable, multifunctional, and/or active nanomaterials and metamaterials
In all cases the papers must demonstrate both novelty and importance to the field, by way of significant advances in understanding or application of non-crystalline solids; in the case of Letters, a compelling case must also be made for expedited handling.
The journal publishes "Letters to the Editor" with a guarantee of publication within 3 months after acceptance of the manuscript.

This journal is devoted to the rapidly advancing research and development in the field of nonlinear interactions of light with matter. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, fundamental nonlinear optical processes, novel nonlinear material properties, guided waves and solitons, intense field phenomena, and their applications in laser and coherent lightwave amplification, guiding, switching, modulation, communication and information processing. Original papers, comprehensive reviews and rapid communications reporting original theories and observations are sought for in these and related areas. This journal will also publish proceedings of important international meetings and workshops. It is intended for graduate students, scientists and researchers in academic, industrial and government research institutions.
Serving the whole of the optics community, Journal of Optics covers all aspects of research within modern and classical optics.
An international journal publishing high quality work concerned with all aspects of applied physics research, from biophysics, magnetism, plasmas, semiconductors, energy materials and devices to the structure and properties of matter.
JPhys Photonics is a new open access journal that will highlight the most significant and exciting advances in research into the properties and applications of light. It aims to bring together scientists from a range of disciplines, with a particular focus on interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary research.
JPhys Photonics is now indexed in the Web of Science 'Emerging Sources Citation Index'
Journal of Semiconductors publishes articles that emphasize semiconductor physics, materials, devices, circuits, and related technology.
The Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology (JSST) provides an international forum for the dissemination of scientific, technological, and general knowledge about materials processed by chemical nanotechnologies known as the 'sol-gel' process. The materials of interest include gels, gel-derived glasses, ceramics in form of nano- and micro-powders, bulk, fibres, thin films and coatings as well as more recent materials such as hybrid organic-inorganic materials and composites. JSST publishes original research and technological manuscripts in the form of extended reports. Occasionally, invited papers on scientific and technologically important issues in emerging fields of sol-gel materials are published as special issues. A Sol-Gel Product News section is also available for publication of short papers on products developed via chemical technology. The Journal of Sol-Gel Science and Technology is the Official Journal of the International Sol-Gel Society (ISGS).

Materials Advances is an international, gold open access journal, publishing high-quality research across the breadth of materials science. The journal accepts experimental or theoretical studies that report new understanding, applications, properties and synthesis of materials, building on and complementing the materials content already published across the Royal Society of Chemistry journal portfolio. Submissions are handled by our high profile associate editors, all of whom also look after submissions to Journal of Materials Chemistry A, B & C. The Materials Advances publishing experience comes with the reputation, standards, commitment and expertise you would expect from an RSC journal, plus the visibility boost that comes from being open access and part of the Journal of Materials Chemistry family.
Materials Chemistry Frontiers is devoted to the publication of original contributions at the interface of chemistry and materials science, with topics spanning but not limited to energy materials, catalysis, biomaterials, nanoscience, polymers, luminescent materials, and sensors. The journal places an emphasis on original research that demonstrates conceptual advancements with emerging applications, rather than primarily reporting technological improvements. Together with Organic Chemistry Frontiers and Inorganic Chemistry Frontiers, this suite of journals offers an authoritative portfolio that is jointly owned by the Chinese Chemical Society, the Royal Society of Chemistry, and partner institutions.
